  1. Ummm.....bump. Seems like things are a bit in glass half empty category for UND hockey. But I'm glad that they play a team like UNO that allows for a bit of run and gun hockey. Funny how when Hak's teams seem to be on the mat at some point in time in the season they put together a good performance to catch everyone's attention. I'll say a split. Tough loss on Saturday, regroup and win on Sunday. Wilbur's Keys: ~Zane keeping up his stellar play against UNO ~Replacing St. Clair on the energy line. Paging Derek Rodwell.....Rodwell......Rodwell...... ~Defensive breakdowns. Just about every St. Cloud goal was a direct result of a UND mistake in coverage. Make UNO earn every goal. ~3rd year guys.....I'm talking about you: Rocco, Mike, Mark, Brendan, Nick, Steph. If those guys are invisible UND loses. They are the core of the team, and whether they like it or not a lot of UND's success depends on them. Split: UNO 3 UND 2 UND 5 UNO 1
  2. Whats stupid is the Vikings are like a 3 and a half minute stretch away from being 5-4...... Chicago....Last minute Cleveland....Last minute Dallas......Last minute Christian Ponder actually played pretty well besides the interception. Moved the offense, made some plays with his feet. I honestly hope he craps the bed the rest of the way if he plays after his injury. That way they get themselves a legitimate college QB. It was weird seeing Musgrave actually open up the playbook and use play action on running downs. Normally I know exactly what the Vikings are going to do, but tonight he had me guessing.
  3. I liked the timeouts. Should have used them earlier to save some more time. If they scored at least they would have had a bit of time to try and win the game with a score. Bye bye Mariota......
  4. Now is not the time to win meaningless football games. Give AP the ball, Christian can screw it up. 1-15.....1-15....
  5. My buddy will take a hogg shirt too there Mafia. And has said he will gladly pay for it this time as well. Hopefully others follow suit and offer you some money for those shirts. Love mine. Wear it any times its clean.....well....lets be honest.....I wear it dirty all the time too....
  6. I was just trying to make a no hockey Friday joke. Didn't even see that you had it wrong.....
  7. Omaha......Need an upperclassman to step up. Friday: No goals will be scored Saturday: Parks Sunday: Drake
  8. Ohh come on. Look at all the success that the Vikings have had without a good starting QB......I'll stop....
  9. Yup, he ended up being the player to be named later when he was traded.
  10. On a totally unrelated note....Aaron Rogers just left the game with an injury. Although he is my fantasy starting QB this is okay with me....But I'm sure he'll come back in the end and lead the packers to victory. Just has that feel to it. Edit* Out for the game. Lets pretend broken collarbone....thats six weeks. Which means he wouldn't torch the vikings again in a couple of weeks. Lord is that Green Bay maybe winnable now?
  11. Look up Harry Chiti. Guy got traded for himself. Not kidding.
  12. Ohh by garsh.....if it was the hockey program losing to a team in a division below them Hak would have been gone long ago. Its funny how below mediocrity is acceptable in the football program, but hockey is where the line is drawn.
  13. And expect that when UND is a man up they will use a hard ring into the zone and try to win the puck back to the defenseman off the wall. Gosh, if they would just listen to us, think of the success they'd have......
  14. I'm agreeing with pretty much everything thats being said. Two years ago they needed to play goose egg hockey. They had 9 healthy forwards and one line that could score goals. With this group you've got guys like Drake and Rocco that can create such speed with the puck coming out of the zone. This high off the glass and then red line and in just isn't as effective against good defensive teams. If St. Cloud or any team for that matter has five guys in their defensive end you are going to have a difficult time getting the puck to the net, simple as that. I like the fact that when UND gets a chance they give their defensemen every liberty to jump up into a rush to create more of an advantage when they're attacking with speed. We just haven't seen it a lot because you can't attack with speed when its high off the glass just about every time.
  15. This team and Franchise....... ~Patterson fumbles ball out of bounds at 5.... ~Ponder fumbles in end zone. Offensive lineman doesn't grab ball....pushes it towards Cowboy. ~Blair Walsh misses extra point to make it four point game. ~Vikings do nothing with interception at Dallas forty. And can't kick field goal because kicker can't make an extra point. ~Defense goes extremely soft at the end to allow Cowboys to score game winning TD. ~And Ponder does not have a strong enough arm to throw the ball into the end zone. And that sums up the Minnesota Vikings.
  16. My gosh....Ponder can't even get the ball to the end zone......
  17. Yikes......doesn't matter that they're blowing this game right here. I'm hoping Leslie takes a timeout or two here to leave some time on the clock.
  18. There is no way they take Clowney with the QB issues they have. He's the best player there, completely agree. But If its between him and (insert best QB), its gotta be the QB.
  19. Robert Blanton doing his best to give Dallas a free first down...... Only the Vikings.......only the Vikings....
  20. I just have a tough time getting what the concept of UND's power play is. I mean on a powerplay you are trying to make it into a 2-1 situation somewhere along the line. Whether it be down low to create a backdoor tap in or up high to set up an open one timer towards the net then crash, or a player with space moving towards the net with the puck on his stick, etc. IMHO way too much indirect passing on UND's powerplay and cycling. There is plenty of space out there. With five on four, someone has got to be open. If they decide to put the pressure box on someone is open if your spacing is adequate.
  21. I'm glad my dad's pios made the list of UND world beaters!

Now come on....we don't want NDSU fans coming on the board trying to save the guys job.
  23. I thought this group would be more "tape to tape" © Doug Woog. Kind of disturbing that halfway through the second period Saturday it turned into chip and chase and dump and go. It also bothers me that people don't think SCSU is any good. If they aren't very good UND is very very bad.
