Agreed. Saw Saturday they put Pogo up with Gerisch and Jost in the third.I think putting Boeser with Yon and Rhett isn't a terrible idea. Do you match up your top d pair against Pogo-Gersich-Yost or Boeser-Rhett-Yon? Need to figure out who fits with the Euros too. I'm worried about our d zone coverage on the big rink. Ausmus and Poolman can't play 30 minutes. Big weekend for the back end, and Cam.

Why can Pionk over and over be allowed to take shots at UND players to the head area? After Duluth goal....shot to Rhett's head, Rhett takes shot at other Duluth player afterwards..... Officials with the responsibility, yet they let him do it.

Thoughts: -Last 15 was crap. Get up 5-1 and coast, the Beavers still played hard. -Line combos seem to be gelling. Heavy line with Yon, could be good. -Love the energy from Joel Janatuinen. Runs around a bit, but plays on the edge and does everything fast. -We were told the defense was going to be a work in progress, so chalk it up to growing pains I guess. I thought Casey Johnson rebounded from yesterday and was better. Peski needs to just relax. The game is so fast for him right now, but a credit to the coaching staff in talking to him after every shift positive or negative. He just needs to be a sponge every minute at the rink. -Wife cut me off, donut time at 10:30. #pregnantwivesmatter

Tremendous play by C Poolman jumping up and seeing Boeser trailing the play and not shooting to score, but to create a rebound for Boeser. I love the Poolman family.

Very impressed with younger Poolman. Does not like to give up the blue line on a rush.

One shift for Peski, one goal for BSU.

Didn't know Wolanin was hurt. Chartrand or Bowen on defense, and make Peski play against Boeser's line the entire week of practice. Wouldn't mind seeing Hyrnkiw or Tomek tonight. Although Cam is never the wrong choice.

Thoughts: Uffda Peski.....Suit tomorrow I was 200 feet away, no comment on penalty shot. Cam came up big when he needed to. He'd tell you he wants both of those back. Clean looks on both. IMHO....d pairings: Poolman-Poolman, Ausmus-Shaw, Wolanin-Johnson. Have a good night, need to find ice cream in Grand Forks for pregnant wife.

Boy......ummmm. They went with 4 and Johnson sparingly the last 3/4 of period two.

I never truly noticed how poor of a skater he was (in comparison to the number of great skaters on the team) until Saturday night vs. Canisius where I got to see him up close and live from the REA. Guy works his rear end off, but his skating is the weak part of his game.

So what you're saying is: Boeser-Jost-Gersich Pogo-Rhett-Wilkie Joel-Ludvig-Yon Olson-Simo-Bowen (Smith the next guy in) Looks like a winner to me. Wild card is Wilkie. He's in the top nine as far as forwards go....but where is the best fit? If the Euros keep playing well together that makes for three lines that could end up on the scoresheet.

Call me stupid (many will, rightfully so), but I think Denver wins the league.

Was wondering the same thing. I think Berry keeps Pogo and Rhett together and keeps the Europeans together when Rhett gets back. Could put Wilkie with the Euros and Olson with Pogo and Rhett.
