Should be an interesting Saturday. This is how I think things end up in the group stage after tomorrow: Group A: 1. Sweden 2. Denmark 3. Czech Republic 4. Switzerland Group B: 1. Canada 2. USA 3. Russia 4. Slovakia So in the quarters you've got: Sweden-Slovakia, Denmark-Russia, USA-Czechs, Canada-Switzerland. Should be a great day of hockey tomorrow.

So correct me if I'm wrong here, but now Finland will play the last place finisher in group B in a best of three? Loser not in Buffalo next year?

I am more on the end the game on the advantage side, than try and score side. That way Russia has no chance to go 6-5 in the final moments with their goaltender off the ice. Definitely pros and cons for both sides of the argument. Not even sure I wouldn't take the penalty shot.

Great win for the U.S. over Russia today! Sets up another big matchup on Saturday against Canada. Anybody else think the U.S. should have declined the penalty shot and made Russia serve the penalty late in the game? Tough call, but I think given the situation and crappy ice I go a man up for the remainder of the game. Doesn't matter right now, but a talking point.

Former champ could be out as early as tomorrow. Wow.
