Nope he wouldn't have been. It was back in the year 2000. I wasn't on that really good Minot team. I was saying that the 2005 team isn't the only team that choked. We choked as well.

Ask a lot of players over the years from Minot about that. We were tied with Central 1-1 in the third period when they had a little freshman named Phil in the net. Two turnovers.....two goals. We choked too. Long time coming for Minot.

This red river group is down from where they have been. But there is a bit more parity around the state from the bigger programs. The west is catching up a little bit. But they really had nowhere to go but up.

Well it's 2-2 going to the third period. Minot has been in this position a lot over the past 23 years. But usually finds a way to lose. Maybe this group will be different.

Minnesota would have won 10-1. Settling for second place is not what pigs with spatulas is about.

It was only a matter of time. Mandan taking an offensive zone penalty that lead to a goal might have officially put the dagger in.

I'm upset with the direction the team has taken. Pig with spatula (as my two year old calls them) is not about regular season championships. Pig with spatula is about getting it done in the postseason which they obviously have maliciously pissed down their leg in back to back seasons. And as far as I know they didn't even gain home ice in their playoffs. Likely because of that tie. Dean Blais would have gone 7-0 and found a place to call home ice for the playoffs.
