Ok, so put it as a health club, they can't discriminate against members, the NCAA is discriminating against 18 schools. Ask those two women in Fargo who wanted a family membership at the YMCA. The ban is dicrimination, it will not get farther than I can run.

Florida State is making championship runs in several sports on a yearly basis. Not to mention ACC Championships, which are post-season tournies. I heard a few years back schools that have changed their nicknames had about 40% of their alumni donations drop off the first four years of the change. What institution could afford that? The lawsuits are VERY realistic, I wouldn't be surprized to see one filed this week. Just because being a part of something that is voluntary doesn't mean that they can discriminate and do whatever they like. That's like saying because you have a job and someone pays you they can treat you however they want, and if you don't like it you can quit. It ain't gonna fly.

That's like letting one of your children do something and prohibiting the rest of them from doing it, it's bad parenting. The NCAA can kiss my butt.

Ok, I need to clarify my statement, I don't expect 17 schools to sit back and watch FSU take on the NCAA by itself. 18 (and whoever else decides the NCAA is wrong) schools standing up against the NCAA is much more powerful than just one.

Diggler, You're not naive, I have the same feeling that this ban will be shot down in the court system. Florida State is going to be the big gun that gets it done for all of us. If I didn't think this was true I'd be freaking out about it, but it's water on a ducks back. Have I ever lied to you guys before?

I do have some comfort in the thought that we are not alone in this.

I want to know what the NCAA is going to determine as offensive. Will Florida State, that has the blessing of the Seminole tribe, be included in that group or not? Ugh, this just wrecks my weekend.

It only took a couple weeks for me to get the latest issue when I subscribed, even though it had already been out for a while they still sent it to me. And I think it's worth the $15 too.

Mooney stripping the ball and the Sioux beating the Bison for the first time in 13 frustrating years. The atmosphere in Memorial Stadium was so incredible. The student section was completely empty within seconds of the game ending. I think I lost my voice for a week.

That made me laugh, probably harder than I should have laughed. Anyway, I was incorrect yesteday when I thought the searches were legal but using the evidence was not. I still think that they should search people when they come in.
