I do not think BJ is playing as well defensively as he did during the non conference schedule. It seemed like he always had 3 or 4 plays at the rim where he was blocking or altering shots. Has not been happening as frequently since conference play started.

We looked like a team that has locker room issues. I don’t want to say they quit but there wasn’t much effort last night.

Sad thing is the Summit League is down and completely wide open spots 2-9. We can’t even compete for one of those spots. This season is worse than last year because I actually thought we had some pieces to at least be in the 6-8 range

It’s just hard to tell when there was almost no meaningful points scored all game

This game will be over really early.. trying to find something positive

In 2023 it is ridiculous to have to pay a school to watch a game. All conference games should be on ESPN + or something. Summit League needs to get it together.

Basketball

I do not think location plays a huge decision in most recruits decisions. If you go listen to interviews with top recruits, 9 times out of 10 they say the biggest factor in where they choose to play is based on the system/how they can be developed and their relationship with the coaching staff. Every once in awhile you’ll find guys that care about what major a school offers or a local kid that wants to stay close to family but overall most recruits are going where they have the best chance to play and develop as a basketball player. I laugh cause if you watched the Last Chance U documentary on Netflix, a guy said he would never leave the state of California because of his son being there. He’s now playing at Minnesota Crookston.

Good write up. I’d add Brooks to the list of guys I’d like to see get more minutes to develop. Could probably throw Levias in there as well.

I like the offer. Very athletic and had had D1 interest in the past. Looks like 3 Juco’s in 3 years?

Take out the 7 wins against d3 and NAIA teams and its 30-73. 3-25 in conference the last two years. A dumpster fire is putting it kindly at this point

I’m all for putting Sather on leave and letting Herbst coach out the rest of the year. See if he can get anything out of this group. Handle it from there in the off-season

Coaching staff is just setting kids up for failure. Not sure what our game plan was defensively?? Let Nelson get as comfortable as possible?? Can’t imagine what it would have looked like if Morgan played tonight. Offensively we reverted back to what we did the first 20 games of the season. Asking kids to do things they’re just not capable of doing and not even giving them a chance to succeed. Overall first trip to the SHAC sucked. Will not be back until UND can put a competent coaching staff in place

This coaching staff sucks. Feel bad for the kids. Some are being put in situations with no chance at succeeding

Because a lot of people seem to forget this: THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM WHERE PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO SHARE OPINIONS. No one on here is getting paid to coach the team, recruit players, fire coaches, find potential coaches, and hire coaches. I can have an opinion that UND needs to move on from its current men’s basketball coach (can support this opinion with countless stats about the state of the program), that does not mean I need to supply a single $ to make that happen. I will continue to go to home games, I will continue to travel to away games that I can make, and I will see you Friday in Fargo if you or SD or anyone else would like to share your opinions on the state of UND men’s basketball

So he’s had all that talent and still wins less than 20% of his games versus d1 teams. Something has to be off then. If it’s not players talents then maybe it’s coaching??? Maybe just bad luck??

NDSU lost 90% of their scoring from last year and beat us by 25 on our home court. Wish we had that kind of luck
