I don’t see Minny having better than a .500 season and making the post season. They really aren’t very good. Less than a UND sweep this weekend would be a major disappointment.
-
My point is they are going to suffer going forward for not dipping into the talented CHL pool. It’s a new opportunity for all, but they seem to be avoiding it. For now anyway.
-
The Minny program is going to continue to suffer as long as they avoid CHL chippahs. They no longer draw the best of the best from their own state (for example, Zellers). Haven’t for a long while in fact. The golden era of the Golden Gophers has long left the station. Motzko and Company are about to feel the full brunt of their isolationist approach to recruiting. Maybe they are already are.

A wee bit.

Didn’t bother to open and read. I don’t want to be bothered by daily emails from this cheesy rag.

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
ND_Texan replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Guessing we come in at #3 in the polls this week behind BU and Michigan. Anyone think Miami will be top 10? -
1.Rickwood definitely star of the game. 2.Zellers has a real nose for the puck. 3.Didn’t even notice Menghini tonight. 4.Livinavage may be in Hobey discussion.
-
Thanks to the refs on two different occasions the Tommies still haven’t had a penalty called on them.
-
Sloppy period but team speed advantage very obvious with guys in green. Look for 2 on 1 / 3 on 2 goals coming. We are controlling the blue line with solid forechecking. Looking good for good guys.

Is the game on Midco Sports Plus app? Asking from Texas.

So no NCHC.TV coverage tonight?
-
Hardly 100% useless. It gives a preview of how the NPI will shake out, as there isn’t a great deal of difference between NPI and PWR. Which is why USCHO is showing the PWR. Yeah, it’s early but the PWR shouldn’t be discounted.
-
From USCHO site: Results not available at this time *Team's NPI has been adjusted to remove negative effect from defeating weak opponent. #Team's NPI has been adjusted to remove positive effects from losing to strong opponent. The NCAA Percentage Index is one tool used to select teams for the national collegiate ice hockey tournament. Only results from games between Division I and II teams are used. Factors involved are 1) the team's winning percentage; 2) the weighted average percentage of the team's opponents NPI. updated: October 12, 2025, 12:05:05 PM

New Pairwise is out. Boys are #3. Miami #5! Missing from top 25: Western and Minny. 😂😂😂

Maybe he flunked remedial reading.

Denver spoils a perfect night for the NCHC with its tie with air force. 🤦♂️
-
NCHC goes 8-0-1 on Friday night to jump a game ahead of the Big Ten and Hockey East in nonconference records. Tough night for the CCHA, going 0-8.
-
Nice work overall. Beat the Tommies to loose pucks, crashed the boards, solid goaltending, and nice passing on the power play. Still too many stick penalties but pleased with what I saw.
-
Couple Perron passes - one by Reschny and one by them leading to Croal goal.
-
I’m going 6-3 good guys. Rechny gets his first two college goals.
-
Someone said he’s so good he’ll miss being checked. Not when you’ve got a bullseye on your back. And the number 72 stands out.
-
The better team won.

Not even close.

Western whacked by lowly Ferris. I for one love it.
