If that were me, I would have snagged it all. Even if I didn't want it, E-bay is a very profitable site!

Remodeling or not, why would anyone throw away this stuff?? This is part of the rich Sioux tradition! That guy deserves the "Stupid" award AZSioux used to give out!

I agree that parents have to incorporate teachable moments in all environments with their kids, and if we were talking about the student section alone, it would be one thing. However, if I remember correctly, Siouxmama sits in a place in the arena that is not even close to the student section. That means the section is filled with fans who pay full price for their tickets, and they're sections that are largely occupied by families. It's one thing if you hear five or less vulgar comments from a fan in a game, sitting in these areas, but if it's a constant throughout the game, they should be removed. How many fans are really able to enjoy the game with that yahoo yelling these things? And even in my most drunken states in college and in the Navy, I had enough respect to control myself when I was sitting near kids, and if I did let one or two slip, I would apologize to those people.

In 10 years of teaching in public schools, I have yet to see 7 year olds in an environment that is worse than a college hockey game. If you were talking about late elementary, middle and high school years, I'd agree with you that you hear and see some pretty bad stuff at times when students are not supervised closely. I have the worst of the worst in students with behavioral disorders, who are removed from the regular classroom because of their behavior, and when they're properly supervised, they don't even come close to what you'll see at a hockey game.

Take a look at it again. It's at the 1:25 point of the first period. It hit Barribal in the head and then Wheeler brought it in. There was a Sioux player right on him, but Wheeler had control when he brought it in the zone. You're far from being a hockey expert, and with your obvious education level, you'd think you'd review the play you're arguing, rather than just taking someone's word for it.

First period. And honestly Goon, I'm convinced Dean has a man-crush on you!

Yeah, cause Phil definitely got all of the Gopher on that kick. Mazacco was the first one to point out that the kick wasn't very hard, but Woog continued the rest of the night stating how he should be gone from the game. EDIT: Goon, I originally thought you were talking about Oshie's goal. Phil kicking the Gopher was with 4:50 left in the first. EDIT: Mazacco..."That kick wasn't going to do anyone any harm, no doubt about it."

14:46 into the period or with 6:14 remaining in the first. His skate was moving forward a little bit, due to his body turning, but it wasn't a distinct kicking motion.

Good Lord, now you're starting to sound like Wooger. I could see giving Lammy two minutes on that, but guys get away with a lot more than that. It was basically a love tap, which is why the ref didn't do anything about that. Gophers played better than the Sioux tonight (probably both nights) and got the win. Be happy, Happy, but don't start complaining about little bumps like that. This isn't Disney on Ice, nor do I think any of us want it to be.

Matt Watkins had a GREAT weekend.

Could have been, but it still doesn't change the fact that we didn't deserve to win this game.

For passes, they need to start with short passes, rather than the ones 2/3rd's the way down the ice. As for ugly goals, they score 2 of them, than try to make it pretty for the last 30 seconds. Yes, Minnesota was pressing hard, but you have to find a way to get it to the net.

This is like my first year at UND, Sioux hockey, which was Blaisers 2nd year, so he was still rebuilding. We definitely didn't have the talent that this team has.

Hak post-game comments: I look to two points in the game. We tie it up 1-1, and get a PP, and that PP proved to build momentum for them. You have to score or at least build momentum on the PP. 2nd period, we gave up a goal within the last few minutes. That was too much to overcome and the final score proves that. We should have desparation. That's what we needed to night. We didn't find it early enough. One step forward, and one step back. Refs. I thought they let the players decide the game. They let things go both ways. The guys were trying, but didn't get a whole lot accomplished. At the end of the 2nd period, we had a 4 on 4. Instead of getting something going, we had a few long shifts, and we let that one go. We didn't make it tough enough on the goalie on the other end. We got the puck out there a few times, but it ended up in the corner instead of where it needed to be. We were a bit sluggish along the blue line. You have to find a shooting lane and we didn't do a good job at that. We wanted to build on last night, and come out and get the first goal. We didn't do that. Simple fact. A lot of work to do yet.

And that's what happen when you don't take a shot. We didn't deserve to win that one anyone. Nice comeback though.
