I think they're going to replace Cam Jannsen with Zajac!

Zach joined the Devil's organization with two games remaining in the regular season. He was hoping to play immediately, but that didn't happen. I recall hearing that he wasn't happy that he gave up his college eligibility to go to the AHL. With that being said, we're talking about 2 different teams here. When Zach joined the Devils organization, the Devils were strong contenders for the cup. This year's team is struggling to make the playoffs. They've lost 4 of their last 5 games, and are sinking rapidly, and little offense is being produced by anyone on the team. This really is a pointless argument. If Travis goes, it will be a loss for the Sioux, but if he goes, I wish him the same success I wish for every other Sioux player to join the pro ranks.

Pretty funny comment. They obviously don't realize the popularity of the hockey program around the country. There's a reason they call us the Sioux faithful! Bleed Green!

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Where Travis hasn't had the outstanding season statistically, he continues to be a sound player, showing great defensive effort all the time. I guess the one thing I don't want is for the Devils to put him in a position to fail, simply because they need help. The development of young players is critical, and making a move too early can decide there career. In defense of Zach from a previous post, he definitely hasn't played bad this year. Yes, he has a low +/-, but the importance of that statistic has been debated this past year on this board. During Larry Robinson's tenure as coach, Zach was shifted around on different lines about once a week. He's now playing on a set line, and it shows. No, he's still not getting points regularly, but it's not because of effort. He continues to be a player that you notice every shift, because of his hard work. Plain and simple, the Devils in general are not a great team this year, and that's affecting everyone's confidence level on the ice.

Or we could have have two bad a$$ lines if they're playing apart!
-
I don't think the Devils' have a lot of room to play around with, with the salary cap. Getting rid of Mogilny definitely helped reduce that, and freed up some $$$, but I'm sure they'll still be thinking about that when completing any deals.

In Fargo so they can get to the FargoDome quick.

I think we need to focus on Michigan rather than worry about celebrating after a Final Five or NCAA Title. Need to take care of business on the ice before we can celebrate off the ice. Yes, we won the Final Five tournament, but there are bigger and better out there, and I'm sure the boys are well aware of that. The Final 5 Title is a nice catalyst for them to start the NCAA tournament strong.

Yeah, "Guys, it's the West hockey regionals, we'll only have 6 people at our show! Cancel!"
-
I wonder if I can e-mail them, and complain that I was at the Final Five, but am not able to make the West Regionals, but want one sent to me. No, I wasn't at the Final Five, but I want a corrected poster!

They must want to watch some great hockey too!

We're the Gopher defensemen taligating with you, because they sure weren't on the ice!

I'd kill myself and hope to be reborn a Sioux fan!

That's why Woog said you would need a tree loader to get rid of the trees in front of the net!

Yeah!!! Persistents pays!

Let's focus on Michigan first. It's a one and done tournament. No time to overlook any opponent in this tournament. They're there for a reason, and everyone is fighting for the same bone.

The Sioux were outshot in both games this weekend, which isn't anything new this year. However, as PCM already stated, the Sioux went into defensive mode on Saturday night after they scored their 5 goals, and St. Cloud was shooting anything that got on their stick. The same thing happened on Friday night in the 3rd period. The Sioux pretty much played defense out, and towards the end of the 3rd, the Badgers were shooting everything. I didn't really like the game plan in either game, once we started focusing on defense, but luckily, it turned out good both nights. The Sioux being outshot the majority of the year simply states why JPar is the most important player for our team right now. Goaltending will be the key again this weekend, and I'm sure Jordy will come to play.

Are you serious on this?? Tell me you're joking that you don't know Montoya. Not that we follow other teams as close as the Sioux here, but we do generally know the more well know players in college hockey each year. Montana?? EDIT: To answer your question, I believe Red said he was going with Noah Ruden over Sauer, due to Ruden playing better right now. I'm sure they're all wishing they had Montana right now.

WCHA Captains' Survey: Rating the Best in WCHA
Siouxdonyms replied to WiSioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Than drinking half the night, and having to go stand in line again at noon the next day, and repeating the same thing. Sunday was definitely spent as a recovery day! -
They consistently call EVERYTHING!
-
I'd say ECAC or Hockey East refs since WCHA and CCHA are playing in our game. If I remember correctly, they tend to call things tighter than what we're used to (yes, tighter). We'll have to play a very disciplined game of hockey to stay out of the box.

You expect me to read that?? I saw the prizes, you know the important things!
