Actually, I have a different perspective on the weekend. Like I said, I don’t think UNO is a “bad” team. Young maybe, but not bad. The Friday night game went in our favor, but heavily weighted by a marginal goaltender interference call and a major penalty on 17 whilst you could argue he was acting in self defense because he was fighting off two fists and a stick at the time. Tonight, 2 bars and a post in the first period. It very well could have been a much different outcome. The jury is definitely out on them, but time will tell. I just say this because everyone seems to believe the team should have wiped the floor with them. I happen to think the NCHC play is going to be more interesting than usual. As for the Sioux, I think they have the all the pieces, they just need to play to their potential.

I have watched them, they’re not ‘bad’, just young. I said it before. Unfortunately for them, they lost their entire leadership group this past year. Several juniors and seniors as well as both quality goal tenders. They didn’t really get much in the portal, a big mistake on Gabinets part. He will need to learn from this. They sit two years from competitive, and that is if this freshmen class hangs in. These days who knows…

Oh god, the team has a bad period and the board comes apart. Can you just imagine 6th place in the NCHC? There would be pitchforks and torches moving in harmony across the plains... Shouts of "crucify heeeeeem!"

I know, but sometimes watching the board is more exciting than watching the game!

Funny how such a simple tactic might gain such a large advantage. That, and how about the linesman actually drop the puck instead of goading face off men into violations so that they (the linesman) can again be the center of attention.

Are you sure? I was just out with the dog and a huge chunk of air landed right in front of us!!! Scared the crap out of me! You have to understand, this happens with every loss, any ties (if they still do those) and any win that doesn’t meet “the criteria”. The next goal or two will be met with “let’s go!” and other salutations of die hard fans.

I just watched it on NCHC tv. Looks like Sullivan was mistaken for Kleven, he buried a guy. What a hit!
