UND @ Minnesota -- The Rivalry, with all the trimmings
Langster019 replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
I’ve enjoyed the puns far more than I should. -
Frisch almost gift wrapped them a goal with a turnover at the dot.
-
I know it is. But I know for a fact other places have done it, not necessarily for UND but another college team, and they were even the company that does that particular teams sets. I don’t know if it’s lack of knowledge or they don’t care, but buying a new sweater and having to wait for them to graduate or get a contract is a drag.

Has anyone gotten customization done anywhere other than EPS that will letter current players?

Just saying split or better. Don’t want a tie and loss. Or get swept.
-
Agree. Must sweeps are the Michigan Techs and Canisius of the world. 3+ points will be a good weekend. Their record may not show it but this SCSU team could sneak up on people at any time, they’re not going to throw in the towel easily.

Looking forward to the holiday series vs. Minnesota. Not being local to the area, what's the best plan for parking? I see there are close lots with passes, but that's not likely an option for me at this point, this close to the games. Ramps I assume?

mediocre at best. PxP is fine. Color guy, JJ, is tough to listen to. Says some idiotic things and also a huge homer. My main issue with color guys is when they talk to the fans AS FANS. Keep the professionalism and talk about the game as a job, not a fan.

We went the AirBnB route too. Can have the amenities of a house, cheaper, and good location too.
-
In a selfish way, I hope not so I can still get decent seats at the face price
-
I think it's possible given the location and the amount of success with attendance in past HHF games. This is a fun town.
-
I'll be curious to see how hard it will be to obtain tickets via General public. A lot of groups have access before the general public.

Are the business suits back to being business suits now?

Went to a MN v Notre Dame when they were #1 in the country just be we were in town and I could’ve sat wherever I wanted. Was mind blowing. Lack of beer sales was a buzzkill too. Literally.
-
Not that I saw. But I don’t know as I made my DU fan brother buy mine lol. Hoping for a lot of green and black.
-
Technically yes but when they haven’t seen (ND, Michigan, MSU) in conference since 1981, that argument isn’t very relevant to today’s attendance “problem”. I don’t see a “rivalry renewed” situation. MN would be the only one that would garner that tag in my opinion.
-
I’ll take a split too. And you’re correct. All 4 games were close with 2 going into extra time. This has set up to be a good series this weekend. Will be fun to see all the black and green in Magness. Is it Thursday afternoon yet? I want to get there already
-
$3 max? They’re cheap at the Bun.
-
Add in high school state football which could be a factor.
-
Ticket prices are a factor for some, not ALL people who may want to attend. Like previously stated, lowering prices may help on a single game ticket basis, but what benefits most is raising season ticket numbers. If there's still a wait list, that's fantastic. If that goes away, the issue isn't the price, it's the product. The whole thread started regarding STUDENT attendance. You can lead a horse to water, can't make it drink. They have the opportunity to go, just choose not to.

I think the "problem" will sort itself out if the team does like what Dori preaches, "JUST KEEP SWI....WINNING"
-
Agreed. I'm not local so I can't speak to this, but are all home games televised locally? This would and could be a huge reason why people don't show. Too readily available to watch at home with your own toilet and beer fridge. Not to mention food and comfort.
