I am sick and tired of people making excuses for JPar. I don't hear any for Phil or Brandt. Oh wait, that is because they don't lose games that the should not. Phil has two losses to Wisconsin that even Karl could not have won. Look at the loss column and tell me that it is just chance that we lose when JPar plays. Also look at how he tried to tackle a player at least twice during Saturday's game. Since when did UND have cheap goalies?

So how do you know that the reason the player quit is because of the coach? I think there are a lot factors in a teenager's life that could contribute to them not reaching their potential. They are also in a city that is not a big hockey town. I think Wilson has done a good job for the environment and resources available. I was very surprised with the WF/Shanley split. Maybe hockey will be popular in Fargo some day. I remember watching some state games last year and I was amazed at how bad Schmidtt was calling the much slower-paced high school games.

Even if all of the students were there, it is going to be a different atmosphere. The high society of GF will not allow there to be any of that nonsense.

It is annoying to hear any comments about Brandt when he has done NOTHING poorly in GAME experience. We have rumors about attitude and practice performance, but we have no facts. It makes no sense to me why people bash Brandt when he has played very well in his career. I would also point out that I'm not saying Goon's post about Brandt is bashing him. I just don't understand why anyone would continue to play JPar this year. Phil has proven to be much better, and without given Brandt a chance, he may be better than Phil as well.

Which of course makes no sense given that he has had more success than JPar or Phil.

That's weird. Somebody told me that REA officials claimed there would be 250,000 people here for it. I asked them to make sure it wasn't 25,000 (which would still be a lot), and she said they were claiming 250K. I don't know why people won't come to GF. Don't they know there is an air base to protect them? My guess is that most people in GF will complain about the people coming anyway.

It is like we are professional wrestling. I think there is a big problem with people making statements about a game that they did not see. If someone is only getting information from a friend, radio announcers, etc., they need to state that when making big claims about a game. Of course, that is just my opinion.

I see that Voom will have some of the World Jr games in HD. I hope this means that REA is wired for HD, and hopefully in the near future will broadcast the UND games in HD.

Did anyone else think Phil was a little slow reacting on the first and fourth goals? Both goals required him to slide from the right side to the left. I know you can't move too fast or you will get out of position, but it looked like he was either having a slow reaction or just being lazy about it. I wonder if this is a weakness for Phil.
