Here are my questions for the two candidates. What are your thoughts about alcohol in the parking lots before and after the football games? What is your view on basketball in REA? Describe the future of FSSN. What is your view on standing at the hockey games? What is your view on swearing at hockey games? What role do you see the dance team having at hockey games? Any thoughts on having cheerleaders instead? What other changes would you make?

I'm not convinced either person is better yet. I think there needs to be a debate.

I think it would be great if Diggler was in charge. Although I won't be a student next year, I assume he will change the student seating to make a better atmosphere. Maybe a standing only policy? Or requiring people to make so much noise to be able to have season tickets? The better atmosphere could help with recruiting and maybe winning.

I think Brandt is still a great goalie. How can anyone say he has failed just because he does not get a chance to play? He hasn't looked bad when he has played this year. DH also said that he was a leader in the locker room. Of course that could be part of the problem right there.

Are you serious? You are on the UND message board. Even when UND was doing well, they typically played to the level of the other team. Of course there were some blowouts, but often times they would not play as well when playing the lesser team.

There is clutching and grabbing all of the time when UND cycles the pucks along the boards. It is obviously legal to a little degree, but most times it should be a penalty. Cycling would never work if the defense could just grab onto the players. It would be nice if the forwards were a little bigger and stronger to fight through it some of the time. However, it has been made clear that in the WCHA they will be held on to and it will not be a penalty, thus they need to get away from cycling.

I never said anything about the senior class.

Why does it matter if either city is a "metro" area? The question was how Fargo affected GF, if at all. Then the conversation moved to which city is "better." I don't see why a metro status or how big a city will be down the road. It is subjective and that is that. I am confused why everyone keeps bringing in the sports as a major deciding factor. It really only affects so much, and you can travel the hour if you need the fix. So, I have no problem saying I would take UND sports and education over NDSU every day of the week. But I would also live in Fargo and I would never want to live in GF again.

I would like some things clarified by those saying the UND players are putting for all of their effort. It would sound like you are saying that they are playing their best, and their best is at a lower level than many other WCHA teams. So are you basically saying that we are the 5th place team because four teams having better players, teamwork, and coaching? The people on the other side of the fence are saying that our players are too good to be performing at the 5th place level. If the players are giving their best, how can UND get back to recruiting players that are at the top of the country?

The Badger students do a few stupid cheers, but they are the best student section in all of the WCHA and maybe all of college hockey.

If Hak was motivated to win the game, would he have started JPar?

It is obvious that Shepard was informed of his blowing the game last night with the lack of an interference call. For him to call that as a penalty, it completely shows his bias and it requires some type of reprimand. I realize that hockey is one of the least watched sports in the U.S., but I think college hockey will never go anywhere with incompetent officiating. What fun is it to watch a sport where the refs decide games?

Well last week nobody agreed with me that the WCHA officiating crews have the ability to change the game, but does anyone want to change their stance? I just don't understand how the incompetence can continue. MK, the DU player was taunting the Sioux. If someone sticking up for the team is a bore to you, then you should be happy with the lack of leadership this year.

I vote for Jim, Pat, and Mapletoft in that order.

What makes a good sports bar? Does it need to be in a city where sports are happening, does it need to be a certain atmosphere, or does it need to show the most games possible? I have my own large HDTV and I would prefer the atmosphere of my own place. However, until I can afford sports packages and a dish, I would only go to a sports bar to see a game that I can't see at home. Thus, the best sports bar that I have been to would have to be Harpo's Sports Cafe in the Cleveland area (I think there are two locations). There are around 100 TV's in the place. They have three rows of TV's above the bar alone. They have front projection and rear projection TV's on the sides, as well as some plasma TV's. They have extra TV's for those upstairs and on the walls by the booths away from the bar. I went there last year on the night of the Sioux-Gopher Final Five game. The channel was not on any of the TV's as they had several Final Four games and other college hockey championship games on. I simply requested FSN and then the game was on approximately 10 TV's throughout the bar. After the game I was also able to see the Red Wings. That is what I consider the ideal basement....I mean sports bar.

I disagree. I would sleep with Mary-Kate or Ashley, but I would never choose to live in GF.
