  1. http://wcha.ocsn.com/sports/m-hockey/spec-.../031003aaa.html A 5 assist weekend; seems to have found his place as the point man on the power play.
  2. Midco cable does not have the series on their schedule, yet. Emailed them and they don't know if it's being offered???
  3. Troy Murray may have been close to leading the Blackhawks for a couple years. Scored a bunch anyway. For the most part, the Sioux in the NHL, especially from the late 70's, early 80's, became defensive specialists. Recall several Sioux forwards getting the job of shadowing the lead scorer for another team (Gretzky).
  4. Glad to see the Sioux get Denver, would be nice to get back the 3 points lost a couple weeks ago. Appears that the referee corps has reviewed the Denver tackling tactics and have been sticking them in the box more since the Sioux series. Denver certainly will clutch and grab to try to slow down the Sioux, but I don't think the tackling will fly. At any rate, the REA may want to paint yard lines on the ice, and yard markers on the boards before Denver arrives. Sounded like the Sioux got a few bounces against Wisco. Thought the luck had changed when Spiewak's shot hit the crossbar and deflected INTO the net.
  5. Should have sent the puck over into the mass. I think Caldwell would like a date, the way he hugs everyone (a mandate )

Maybe we'll dress 18 goalies and 2 skaters.
  7. Saw on TV they did much the same against the Gophers, although against the Sioux it was concentrated on Parise. Interesting defensive method, gives a very new meaning to clutch and grab.
  8. Have to wonder about the Democratic party if they would consider "the mouth" as a candidate for governor
  9. The only option is beating Bucky twice. Got to be on a new winning streak heading into the playoffs. The tackling Pioneers will then come to town. I see their dmen, especially Caldwell and McKenzie, have spent a fair amount of time in the box for holding and obstruction against the Gophs and CC. Maybe the WCHA referee corps has them targeted by now.

Thanks, I'll have it recording on the dish at home; anyway, I'll be able to watch it Sunday if not live.

Does Fargo have a midco channel? I'll be there Saturday night.
  12. Hope that is "doesn't".
  13. Hammy makes condescending comments regarding the Sioux a habit. They just don't belong in this forum. He needs to take them to POI. They are not wanted here, imo. In other words, Hammy, take your condescension and differing philosophies somewhere else, this is a Sioux board, period.

    First the Wookie, now Jar-Jar?
  15. I would like the Sioux out east. There is some good history on the Sioux being sent east to play a #1 team, and being successful. Remember RPI (don't remember the year), when the Sioux were sent east, thought at the time the committee hoped to get rid of them in a series by sending them east to play the team that had been rated #1 in the country all year long. Whoops, #1 was gone from the tourney. All regions will be tough, but I'd like to see them get to play Cornell. They will have to get by a very good team to do so, however, if the brackets remain as predicted. Cornell may not get by their first game either. This weekend could change everything, of course.
  16. ROTFLMAO. The "bab"ling continues.
  17. I wasn't serious, dogs can have all the fun they want in the REA. Just a bit less next year.
  18. If you stop looking there, very positive heading for the post season. If you make the mistake of looking at the last two months, whoops, no way to go into the post season. Sorry, having trouble being optimistic right now

How 'bout a 4x8 sheet of plywood with puck sized holes at the corners.
  20. If the uscho board is any indication, they still haven't
  21. A Wisco fan posted that both will be on the Fox alternate, channel 642, directtv. Doesn't show up (yet) in the directtv schedule.

Think TH couldn't decide on the replay if it was a high stick or not. Sounded too close to call, and either call would have been right. The way it's been going for the Sioux, you knew it wasn't going to be a goal.

I like it when other teams do it What is it, before the two goals in 9 seconds; Notermann shoots at an open net, and it hits Anderson's (goalie) stick, which is laying on the ice, then Schneider' shot goes off his face mask, and Parise hits the post. At least a couple finally went in. Can the Sioux sweep Wisco, got to do it, then get to face the dreaded tackle defense of Denver in the REA. Maybe the calls will be made this time, they sure stuck them in the box against MN, as they were tackling Gophers all over the place until they were forced to quit or spend the whole game in the box. The Denver D is brutal if they can't wrap people up.

Not many shots in the second. Have they quit?
