Sioux O mailed it in in the second half, but finally score a TD (missed a FG earlier). THe D came to play a complete game, however, as Ferris is getting nothing. 38-0 Game has to be close to over. SCSU now leads Augustana.

Wonder what Saturday night's Hockey Night in Canada will air?
-
Whoops, sorry, knew it was here along with whatif pages and all the other good stuff, should have said just visit ss.com for all your D1 hockey needs Why does Maine get an RQW for last night's loss?
-
BTW, it was 31-0 at the half; third quarter underway.
-
Augustana is up on SCSU 17-15 now. Meanwhile SLU and SCSU are 1-1 after 2 periods in the icebreaker.

I"ve avoided the frustration this year by just listening. Funny but seemed that last year only the commercials worked, little of the games did, for me. Anyone trying out the $15 Maine webcast tonight?
-
THought of that before I posted, but couldn't help it. The Sioux managed to make every game entertaining last year, no matter what the halftime score. Hoping they are over the second half swoons (but not the second half comebacks).

Drew Stafford, the goal scorer is an 18 year old sophomore (or did he just turn 19), recruited from Minnesota's Shattuck St. Marys prep school. Drew was recently a first round draft selection of the Buffalo Sabres. He was part of the US' World Junior (under 20) championship team last January in Helsinki, Finland, and will likely be part of this year's USA WJC team. It (ranking) will jump a bit is they win tonight also, but the polls don't mean anything. Later in the season, when all teams have more games completed, check out the Pairwise Rankings links on the uscho rankings page. The 16 teams that are picked for the NCAA tourney are picked primarily from this ratings system (post season conference tourney winner gets an auto bid). Beating Maine, who is likely to end up with a good record in HE, will be important to the Sioux's pairwise ranking down the road.

Bet we've heard the last from him. I'd suggest, if they want to come west and face more equal competition, that they schedule Crookston

RULYAON. Expect we've seen the last of you, 79 Terry (least of our worries) today, 13 carries, 20 yards. Not sure who the others (the ones we had to worry about) were, but Ferris total was 20 carries for 1 rushing yard. A real powerhouse you got there, Bulldog.

The Mozilla live bookmarks site gives you a longer explanation. The Firefox browser supports putting links to the news articles in your bookmark toolbar (favorties toolbar in IE, although it's not supported in the Microsoft product). The firefox browser is an open source effort that is a large step up from IE, imo. Tabbed browsing is great, and the addition of RSS support in the new preview release is nice also; firefox reportedly does not have all the security holes that IE has. I have the siouxsports news in the bookmarks toolbar (called live bookmarks by mozilla), as well as in my myyahoo page.

The RSS feeds are way cool. Especially nice in Mozilla's firefox browser, which allows their addition to the bookmarks toolbar by clicking the RSS "icon" in the status bar while on a page that has RSS links. http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/live-bookmarks.html

Judging from all the message boards complaints in all games played, the emphasis on getting rid of obstruction is happening, and players need to adjust. Seemed from listening to the game that the hooking on the backcheck, which has become totally acceptable to players and fans and never gets called unless the hooked player takes a dive, is being called frequently. That's a big change but will ultimately benefit the Sioux because of their speed and short, accurate passing game through neutral ice. Seemed that little was called in period 3 last night, so were players making adjustments or was the whistle swallowed? Too bad having to get used to the rules while playing hockey east powerhouses like Maine and BC, but that's the way the schedule plays out. Would have been nice to have these rules against the tackling Pios 2 years ago and the tackling Seawolves (can Mason change his ways?) last year.

TH apparently had that backwards during the men's broadcast. Or I was listening backwards, a good possibility.

Wearing out the Ctrl-V keys?
-
Nope, Maine will get a penalty, sounded close to a Sioux gamewinner. Penalty shot!!!! Stafford HE Scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4-3
-
Maybe the game will now finish 5 on 5
-
Can't score on the PP, better get a shortie
-
OT coming, some Maine PP time left to start the OT (1:25)
-
JPar dumped by a Maine player after a scoring chance. Sioux may get the first PP of the period (waiting on ensuing scrum) Prpich and Hamilton for roughing; another Mainer for running JPar. Yes, time for a PP goal.
-
Sounded like their second PP goal was a strange bounce off the end boards.
-
With that many PP's, some have to go in; wish you could say the same for the Sioux.
-
Maine ties it on the rebound.
