Makes no sense at all for NJ; what a deal that would have been for the Blackhawks, another big stride towards a future Stanley Cup if NJ would have done it.
The whole damn bunch subscribe to the Don Adam "make sh** up as you go" rules. Apologies for two blown calls which would have hurt Denver (Wisco and SCSU goals), and now this. What a crock the league leaders are. Making up rules where there aren't any; will the entire referee crew by suspended for blowing the first fighting call; they certainly should be.
And adding another Gwoz code that doesn't quite match his earlier quotes to the Denver paper, it is totally OK to continue punching a downed player in the head, as long as he has his helmet on. Sounds like D Adam and the entire leadership has learned entirely from Curious George.
Ironic that Gwoz, whose team tackled their way to an NCAA championship just a few short years ago, would now like to change things up and play gurl's hockey, albeit with less contact.
As Sic posted somewhere, why does the entire Denver bench go on the ice after the period ends, forcing the 3 remaining Sioux players to skate the gauntlet to get to their tunnel. Gwoz' obviously like his odds with the 4 on 1 vs. Trupp (or was it Genoway?) and 2 or 3 on 1 vs. Finley (aka the Gwoz "selective" code). Guess 1 on 1 (Radke vs. Vossberg) isn't fair in the land of Gwoz.
The good old boy network in Denver that Gwoz is whining to are the same ones that allowed Radke and Testuide to play on after a drop the gloves fight; either use the rules or be prepared for what happens when you don't.
Pete's is copied from 1st generation KU band equipment, the quality is noticeably better than cable or the extremely compressed satellite (dish or directtv) feeds. Very close to HD quality. Anyone thinking about a KU band system for FSSN (like Pete installed for Nick) should go for it; you won't be sorry.
Radke hammered Vossberg, and he had to get out of the box to do it; Testuide was still in after the scrum was over. Guys started coming back on the ice out of the tunnel, that could have got ugly. Would appear just Radke and Vossberg should be DQ'ed. Finley got mauled from behind after Mannino (edit: anouncers said Mannino, guess it was the other Denver guy wearing goalie equipment) gave him a shot to the head, so he didn't get to go with anyone.
With all the Sioux forechecking pressure throughout the period, the Pios are reverting to a bunch of hooking and holding. Hasn't slowed the Sioux, nor has Denver had to play shorthanded.
We've seen Denver do this before, and, once again, they got away with it. Denver dman took down Trupp in neutral ice, away from the puck, and Denver entered the zone 5 on 4, and, the puck found the uncovered forward.
Signal down in the 40's and pixelating for two minutes of the second. Came back good at 50% and, by the end of the period, was back to 70%+ on the traxis.

Not much D separations last night with all the 1's put up. Only difference maker was McCullough with the hat trick, the third an ENG with 1 second left. Haven't looked to see if anyone has him.
