Apparently the article is totally bogus, a real crappy job of reporting. Hopefully the real truth will come out after the court date. It's fairly warm out, maybe I''ll take my black lab out and join him in urinating in the yard, in protest of course
1PM Central.
Sweden/Russia going to OT. Sweden has 1:55 of PP time to start the 10 minute OT. Would guess this game could delay the start of the second game if it goes for the full OT and shootout.
Wonder if we might see a rerun of last year's shootout in the TSN pregame of the US/Canada?
The NHL network schedule for the medal round is here. My dishnetwork guide showed the first game today but not the second, but both were on. The Canada/Finland re-air is on right now.
I think I heard the TSN announcers between periods of the RUS/CZE game say that the US/Canada could be the late game if CZE lost to Russia.
The East regional with BU, Mercyhurst, and BC in 05; Michigan, MN and Holy Cross in 06. You've got last years; the 06 at GF turned out a bit easier than expected, with the HC win in the first round.
College students don't get away with the same stuff we used to get away with; if you're a high profile athlete you should know that and avoid it. Not throwing the team under the bus, just disappointed that a Captain would not stay away from this.
Yep, I'm watching it. The US/Canada game will be replayed on NHL Network at 5:30PM Eastern (Friday), if you don't get to see it live. Wish we could watch Toews in this game again, rather than just being out injured for the Hawks.
I think so, he was a bit suspect on the two Finn goals. According to the announcers (Canadian), he's in because of the ability to play the puck, but he didn't do that well with all the space behind the net on the large ice surface.
Screwy tourney rule; US had last change in earlier game with Finland, so Finland would get it if they met in the medal round. US will get last change vs. Canada.
Game winner was a good bounce for Canada, wide shot by Marchand tipped in by a Finn dman.
1-1 after two; Tavares PP goal ties it. Just a few good chances each way after the tie; Canada looks like the better team, but one good bounce may win this for either team.
If Finland wins, they will get last change against the US on Friday.
Finland up on Canada 1-0 after one. Weak goal given up by Canada. They (Canada) are getting loads of chances but haven't been able to beat the Finn G. He's giving lots of rebounds, bound to go in for Canada eventually.
I'd like to watch Canada/US on Friday morning.
Parise scored the only shootout goal in NJ's OT win. Stafford wasn't in the Buffalo lineup; injury or healthy scratch?
Edit: Stafford suffered a concussion in Wednesday's game.
