  1. Apparently the article is totally bogus, a real crappy job of reporting. Hopefully the real truth will come out after the court date. It's fairly warm out, maybe I''ll take my black lab out and join him in urinating in the yard, in protest of course
  2. 1PM Central. Sweden/Russia going to OT. Sweden has 1:55 of PP time to start the 10 minute OT. Would guess this game could delay the start of the second game if it goes for the full OT and shootout. Wonder if we might see a rerun of last year's shootout in the TSN pregame of the US/Canada?
  3. Did his family move to the US, or is his playing for the US a dual citizenship thing? Russia up on Sweden 1-0 after two.
  4. Sweden/Russia are scoreless after one. Sweden looks like the better team so far.
  5. The NHL network schedule for the medal round is here. My dishnetwork guide showed the first game today but not the second, but both were on. The Canada/Finland re-air is on right now. I think I heard the TSN announcers between periods of the RUS/CZE game say that the US/Canada could be the late game if CZE lost to Russia.
  6. GF needs to change the statute or plant more bushes
  7. Don't doubt that LE gets a bit more overzealous with drinking related charges than they used to.
  8. The East regional with BU, Mercyhurst, and BC in 05; Michigan, MN and Holy Cross in 06. You've got last years; the 06 at GF turned out a bit easier than expected, with the HC win in the first round.
  9. What does one have to do to get a disorderly conduct these days? Fighting?
  10. It's hard to picture the "Fabian" performer and Ronan Tynan on the same stage.
  11. College students don't get away with the same stuff we used to get away with; if you're a high profile athlete you should know that and avoid it. Not throwing the team under the bus, just disappointed that a Captain would not stay away from this.
  12. This stinks, and the last Sioux I'd expect to violate team rules; not good in the leadership category
  13. Odd that was changed this year; wonder if that's the IIHF or the home country of the tourney that sets that? Assume it's IIHF.
  14. Yep, I'm watching it. The US/Canada game will be replayed on NHL Network at 5:30PM Eastern (Friday), if you don't get to see it live. Wish we could watch Toews in this game again, rather than just being out injured for the Hawks.
  15. Major junior, eh? Know where he is from?
  16. Who is in goal for the US? Hope Russia/Czech. is on at 1. The dish program guide does not show it.
  17. I think so, he was a bit suspect on the two Finn goals. According to the announcers (Canadian), he's in because of the ability to play the puck, but he didn't do that well with all the space behind the net on the large ice surface.
  18. Probably did, since US had the last change on Christmas Day; didn't see the US loss in the medal round.
  19. Screwy tourney rule; US had last change in earlier game with Finland, so Finland would get it if they met in the medal round. US will get last change vs. Canada. Game winner was a good bounce for Canada, wide shot by Marchand tipped in by a Finn dman.
  20. 1-1 after two; Tavares PP goal ties it. Just a few good chances each way after the tie; Canada looks like the better team, but one good bounce may win this for either team. If Finland wins, they will get last change against the US on Friday.
  21. Finland up on Canada 1-0 after one. Weak goal given up by Canada. They (Canada) are getting loads of chances but haven't been able to beat the Finn G. He's giving lots of rebounds, bound to go in for Canada eventually. I'd like to watch Canada/US on Friday morning.
  22. No Blackhawks game on Center Ice tonight I see Skille is in the lineup, must be up to replace one of the injured forwards.
  23. In losing those games both the Badgers and Gophers lost their chance to play a good PWR team in their tourneys; not good for them.
  24. It was, however, a pass, not a shot by LaPoint, which is what Habit was suggesting.
  25. Parise scored the only shootout goal in NJ's OT win. Stafford wasn't in the Buffalo lineup; injury or healthy scratch? Edit: Stafford suffered a concussion in Wednesday's game.
