  1. He Can't play in the NCAA, he played for a WHL(Everett Silvertips) team. The Weekly pay check makes him in the eyes of the NCAA a professional hockey player.
  2. here they are with a face Jeff Harvey
  3. A commercial today during the game said that the games next weekend in Duluth will be on FSSN. Will the games be available via Webcast?

    Jerseys

the swift jerseys won't be available till the team officially adopts them, and nike won't sell them to anyone (believe me I have tried through Nike town, and the response after phone calls is not until the team accepts them, can you order one). So I would say if the team hasn't adopted them publicly then don't hold your breathe on getting one anytime soon.

    Sioux at WWU

I do have to say thank you to all the parents and fans that made it out here for the game. With us Seattle Sioux and the rest, it was a excellent showing of fan support 1500 miles away from the Alerus, maybe 200 or more. Tried to be loud and proud on 3rd downs and the scores. Thank you again fans from ND for making the trip.
  6. never really post here but this caught my attention, i wrote EA about a year ago and i got the impression they were interested in the idea, especially since EA is a canadian company not to far from GM place in Vancouver (Been there) and with the increased exposure (ESPN) that college hockey is getting, plus the extremely good cali, texas, florida, texas high school and club teams coming of age, the market for the game is expanding. Maybe a NCAA hockey '09 or '10 game is a possibility. i have been pitching this to EA for a while through many channels and they never seem to reply back negitively.
  7. The forum went well, President Baker, some Senators, and other concerned students were in attendance and we disscussed some ideas for the games this weekend as well as ways to possibly improve things next season. Tomorrow the ideas will be given to REA for possible implemtation into this weekend not all ideas can be used but some might so we are looking forward to this next weekend and hope that everyone there is loud and proud for the Fighting Sioux on their way to a WCHA championship. 8. Sorry about that everyone the forum will be in the Union's Lecture Bowl sorry I was writing another e-mail at the same time and I forgot to put it in this post and sorry about the name I was in a hurry I was in class. Aaron Easton aeaston@aero.UND.edu
  9. Hello All sorry it has been so long I have been really busy with all this, I have talked with reps from REA and they are very interested in ideas that we can give them. So that brings me to my next thought, Monday March 1st at 8pm there will be a Student Forum, its a chance for all you to tell me your ideas in person, and express your thoughts in a constructive place. However, this will not be a Kupchella bash and it will not be a Rodger Thomas bash but I still want to hear your ideas because this is the only way it gets better. All are invited not just students the others have a voice to because this affects you as well. Thank you very much and I hope to see you all on Monday. Aaron Easton aeaston@aero.UND.edu
  10. All right here we go sorry for the delay, Hope all is well anyways, I met with Kupchella and he wants to work with us at improving the atmosphere at all fighting sioux athletics and I couldn't agree anymore. I have drafted a new misison statement of SSSS and it goes a little something like this, "We are working with the Students, Administration, Public, and Facilities to improve the atmosphere at Fighting Sioux Athletics." I have been talking to REA to get some of the ideas to them, I have a phone meeting with the person incharge of those things over there tomorrow and she will hear alot of the ideas that have been presented here in the forum and all the ideas I have gotten via personal e-mail. When I talked to her on the phone today and gave her idea of what I had and she seemed very interested in what students have to say and the ideas they have. I am going to try and get some implemented by the Tech series becasue that week is fan appreciation week and no better time to address the issue. I am also going to ask that all students that go to those games work well with the REA staff and the other students trying to make it better and get the rest of the fans involved not saying that some aren't but we need to get more. Well I will update you all after I have talked to REA and some others around campus. Also, fairly soon I am planning to have a Student forum in the Union to hear all the ideas in person as well as field any questions you might have. Any other questions that you might need answered I will try via-email or the forum. Thanks all for the support and help the only way things are to improve is with help. Aaron Easton aeaston@aero.UND.edu P.S. a UND ALUMNUS ONCE SAID:
  11. Part of the meetings to come is to involve REA, the Alerus Center, and the new Sports Complex in working with students and fans to get everyone involved so we are going to address that issue and see what the students can do to help, as well as those facilities that would like the help. Thank you guys very much for the input again, and we are very interested in getting everyone to cheer and be involved and Fighting Sioux athletics. Aaron Easton
  12. What is to be comprimised on will be determined once I meet with the other people he wants me to meet with and I talk with some other student leaders and we can sit down with him, and again I'm planning to doa student forum to go over what others want or feel that we need or we can give up. Anyway I need to meet with others before I talk about what they are wanting or willing to give up on. Thanks for the support everybody and keep those ideas coming in. Aaron Easton aeaston@aero.UND.edu
  13. Sorry about the delay about the meeting, he said he would like to work with us on improving the atmosphere in the Ralph and improve the situation as a hole but we are going to need to make some comprimises. With that said he gave me a list of some others that he would like me to talk to. I would like to set up a forum in the union sometime soon to get feedback in person about some ideas that I can bring at my next few meetings. So other than that I will get back to you all once I have more info that I can share and be positive about. Aaron Easton aeaston@aero.UND.edu Keep those crowd suggestions coming in they are great the more we get the more fun we can have.
  14. sorry about the incorrect grammar at sometimes it is very early this morning and i have a very busy day. Sorry again any questions just post them and i will try to get to them as soon as possible
  15. We are not trying to undermine him we are only looking to work with his office to improve the situation that has risen since last weekend. I am only going today to give him a letter with signatures of students that would like to work towards a better solution. I have been in contact with many student leaders and presidents of student organizations and we are all coming up with ways to challenge the students to become more creative. With the great suggestions listed earlier in the forum with no objections next week sometime I plan on walking over to REA and giving the Productions manager which is a very nice person that I have met previously the suggestions posted here. Myself and several others that I have either showed or gave the link to the forum, have looked at the great ideas and offers for help. There are some very creative solutions here and I plan on showing Kupchella a few to get his take on some of them, but keep them coming in and come up with some others, by the way keep a ear out around campus about a way to get your ideas out and looked at to be distributed to the student for the next game just keep an ear out and eye open to look for those opporitunities. Thanks all for your interest and keep up the great suggestions, the more positive suggestions that more it helps out cause. Aaron Easton aeaston@aero.UND.edu
