  1. looks like all games are free so thats cool.
  2. yep. They did the same thing a few weeks ago with Air Force...early game at 6:30 and Air Force at 9
  3. no. Its on CBS College Also after last Thursday's 6 hour basketball marathon I think the "satellite transmission fund" is a little low right now
  4. Friday's game is on CBS College Sports 613 on Directv 152 on Dish 9:00 start
  5. a large change huh? Yeah like you and Pete going through all my posts and making them a negative again regardless of what was said? Which gee sounds like the same thing you two were doing. uh huh...and again the reason I was given was different than what you apparently claim I was banned for.
  6. interesting...how would you know why I was banned? Thats not the reason I was given by the way so I find it insulting that the owner of the site would tell other members why someone was banned. oh and I added that because it is the TRUTH. I posted the above before and before I replied about the Directv thing he had negatived my post. So I removed it and redid it all as one post
  7. Last year they were on FCS and the FTA signal was just fine. Its actually the transponder they are using. I have seen a few other games on that transponder (12065) and the signal is low on that too. So its not just the Sioux feed. Since transponder space costs different amounts of money maybe they went the inexpensive route....and unless you have a 1.2m dish or larger we're paying for it My 36" was fine the whole game...right above threshold but stable. Oh also for the folks with sports pack on Directv here is a trick to get a discount on it. If you have had it on the account for at least 30 days call and cancel it. The cust svc rep will offer to replace it with movie channels, Say no and you'll get transferred to a premier channel account rep. They try to save you by offering $10 off a month for 6 moths on the sports pack. Most reps have been offering this. If they dont and cancel it, just log into your account the next day and add it back. As for the 30 day thing, all premiums need to be on the account 30 days or they charge $5 to remove it from the account. I thought of not posting this info as Pete (PSB) feels any and every one of my posts regardless of the content warrants the negative on this stupid reputation system but I really dont care. He even went as far as getting me banned for giving him negative posts. If you want more info about Directv or lots of good info on how to get the best out of your free to air system (and a board that is very busy with good folks to help out) come on over to www.satelliteguys.us I use the same handle there and am more than happy to help folks out
  8. There is no TV coverage.....unless you're talking about the B2 webcast?
  9. bin the Northern Arizona games on University House are usually picked up by FCS and are shown on Directv. Seen a few football games and even some volleyball games on FCS on Directv
  10. FCS cut the deal with the FSSN.....FCS is paying for those games from the FSSN so it is a money maker. All FCS is doing is grabbing the feed from the FSSN
  11. I know its not hockey but the Sioux vs. Bucky mens b-ball game is up on the same satellite. Game starts at 7:00 ESPN3.com feed 91W 12008 freq H 13235 symbol rate feed up now
  12. for the folks with free to air systems the game is up on the same satellite as the FSSN uses 91W G17 12008 H 13235 feed is up already.....who needs ESPN3.com (not I)
  13. no FSSN is not on either system (Directv or Dish) Directv carries FCS (Fox College Sports) which does carry the feed from the FSSN but Dish does not The only way to see the Sioux on Dish is if FSN (Fox Sports Net) carries them (like Friday's game or when they play UMTC or Denver) of on the NHL Network

for those with the motorized KU Band systems the game will be on there too Galaxy 28 Downlink: 11768 HORIZONTAL Symbol Rate: 6148 G28 is right next door at 89W
  15. actually they don't stop using the PPV Dish takes all the HD content from some 25+ RSN's and handpicks 8 of them (thats the most HD they can use on one transponder) a night and those are the privileged ones who get their game in HD. The west coast folks also have the same issue. but worse. They alot of times get their games JIP'd (joined in progress). They have to wait until the "early" game is done and if it runs long then they're screwed. It varies daily but it sounds like FSN North gets screwed unless the game starts at 6:00PM. Since most home games are at 7:00 if there is a full slate Dish bypasses FSN North
  16. they wouldnt turn off an existing broadcast. Directv has enough bandwidth for most of the games. When they need that 4 hour block they turn off a HD PPV channel Directv has like 15 of them) for that. But it goes back to the original point of FCS isnt in HD on Directv oof not even in widescreen digital? Thats pretty bad if they dont do at least that

I thought maybe they'd push the SEC games to CW since all the CBS affiliates in MT except for Glendive have CW on subchannel
  18. Directv would turn off another HD PPV feed if they wanted to. They do that on Sunday's for the NFL Sunday ticket But the FCS feed they get is SD only so its a moot point
  19. in the case of North Dakota it would also cost more for satellite transponder space since an HD broadcast takes more bandwidth to beam up. Right now the FSSN is using 1/6th of a transponder. For HD they would need at least 1/2 of a transponder. Montana State is using 1/2 a transponder for the HD broadcasts. so we're back to the same argument of "why doesnt the FSSN carry more road series?"....easy...money Heck does WDAZ broadcast their news in HD?

as for the game...this might get ugly quick. When Montana gets rolling it is very hard to stop them

All Montana games are on KU Band TV (just like the FSSN games) so Senser's should be able to get it.
  22. Fridays game is on FSN Wisconsin...anyone with satellite can see it. Channel 669 on Directv...dont have dish # handy but it will be on an alt channel (444-475) Saturday's game is only on TVW which is the "My Network" affiliate in Madison so no TV Saturday Also it shows Friday on FSN North tape delayed at 10:00 ()
  23. if it was an 18" then that would be the issue I know on my 30" the signal is weaker but still very stable. On the Coolsat 5000 threshold is around 63-65 and the signal bounced between 67 & 69 so right above threshold Like I say the 36" I dont have issue with. This is the one I use
  24. what size dish?
  25. same signal as this afternoon...working great 55-58 on the 36" 68 or so on the 6 footer
