Final 5 is held at the X which is what 10 minutes from Mariucci? No matter what game the goofs are in they get the night game. Its called "the Minnesota rule". So when it was a final 5 (5 teams not 5 games) even if the goofs were a 3 seed they got to play the night game and the #1 seed had to play the afternoon game.

If you have Midco its 339 in SD 639 in HD
-
FS North + is 658 & 658-1 in HD FYI....
-
FS North is usually 28 (at least in the SW Burbs) FS NOrth + is 23 in SD and 694 in HD.....neither channel will show the game in the guide but that is the chanenls they are on
-
ESPN syndicated means ESPN holds the rights and can farm it out to local outlets if they pay the rights. Use to be called years ago ESPN + So FS North can ask to be allowed to show them since they are on delay otherwise. If the game is on ESPNU they can't (live...not tape delayed) WDAZ could ask to show the No dak game or hell they could ask to show all 3 games involving the WCHA teams My9 in Duluth could ask to show the Duluth game As long as they pay the fee to show it...they can show the syndicated games.

All 3 stations are on Dish too. They might get some love from the FCS channels too if you have cable
-
Directv owns what was FS Rocky Mtn, FS Pittsburgh and FS Northwest. SInce Fox no longer owns them Directv changed the nams to ROOT. They still show lots of programming from Fox Sports though
-
and reading the article from the Missoulan any games not picked up by RSRM the local affiliates can pick up games. So this doesnt affect the NDSN from showing games too
-
I think it means the channel is FSN Plus programming all the time The ones that say "event only" the channel is shared with something else. I posted those above but here they are again examples Comcast is sharing the SD feed with a channel that shows paid programs. The HD channel is shared with Big10 alt Mediacom is sharing it with their Medicom Connections channel Dish and Directv its just on an alt sports channel Arvig is sharing it with their "Local Link" which is like a public access channel
-
looks like 339 in SD 639 in HD per press release http://www.foxsportsnorth.com/pages/fsnorth_plus/
-
since its a part time channel (only when 2 games are on at once) its part of your regular cable package
-
Why couldnt they do like some of the cable co's are doing and having it share a channel with something else examples Comcast is sharing the SD feed with a channel that shows paid programs. The HD channel is shared with Big10 alt Mediacom is sharing it with their Medicom Connections channel Dish and Directv its just on an alt sports channel Arvig is sharing it with their "Local Link" which is like a public access channel Surely Midco can free up a public access channel to share it with FSN+ part time. Heck use one of those Midco channels. I'm sure folks wont get mad if the 5th grade basketball replay wasnt shown a 4th time
-
and to even elaborate on that the transponder rental is much higher for HD than SD for them to beam it up for cable co's/satco/FTA folks to see it. Even if they only use 1/2 a transponder like some other stations use (like CBS Sports Network or the Montana Grizzlies games) that is still 3x more than what the FSSN uses now which is a 1/6 of a transponder. So 3 times the money times what 40+ broadcasts equals.....well if Ralph was alive maybe it could be done
-
they're use to 12 people viewing the webcast...not 500
-
free to air there are channels and sports feeds that if you set up a 30" dish and a separate receiver (not dish or directv) you can see anything that is not scrambled
-
yep the replays are pretty bad. Its always funny when they do the "Goal" graphic with "GOAL!!!!!!!" even when the opposing team scores
-
a couple weeks ago they (the radio/tv guys) mentioned why. The glass is old and its very distorted so folks dont sit there. They sit higher above the glass
-
just a heads up on the broadcasts for the folks who complain "why cant the FSSN have a pp clock" well be prepared for the GCI broadcast....there is NO CLOCK on the screen at all. There is a graphic that shows the score and lately that has been noticeably missing too.
-
yes it is channel 597 in GF (the MN channel) If you use an antenna its on channel 2-3 (PBS)
-
The feed provided is in HD. Its up to WDAZ to decide if they are going to show it as is (in HD) or to neuter the pic and make it SD. Honestly WDAZ would be stupid to show it in SD
-
it is NOT on ESPNU live. Its on Sunday at 11:30AM tape delayed yeah Lacrosse is on before the Miami/NH game...those fans better worry about their game being shown on time
-
both DAY & DAZ are carried on both providers WDAY 6 WDAZ 8
-
yes Directv does.
-
he'll moon the officials

2 of those 3 you posted are brand new arenas and Duluth had a technology room built into Amsoil arena. But here is something the Sioux could do. This year when Duluth was still in the DECC the station who did it (My9 in Duluth) used...get this an overlay of the scoreboard clock on the screen for both the time and the power play. Not a cute computerized clock like most networks use. They aimed a camera at the scoreboard and that was in the right corner of the screen with the little cutout. When a PP was they put the PP time below the team name and just did a strange overlay like they did in the 80's/early 90's But it could be worse...Anchorage doesnt have ANY clock on the screen. It just says "Seawolves", then below it the visitor and period. Thats it
