Tommy is 3-4 in his last 7 starts and the wins came against Missouri State, Idaho State, and Drake. I find it really hard to believe that neither Quincy or Feeney give us a better shot to win. If that is the case, whoever is evaluating QB recruits needs to be replaced today. Look at the drive charts from the last 3 quarters @Utah State, vs NDSU and @ USD. Its pathetic. The offensive output in those 11 quarters is bad, really bad. Do you really think the DC from opposing teams aren't seeing the same things I'm seeing? Really? If Otis is in the game in the backfield its a run, if he isn't rush 5 and drop everyone else into zones and let us run all the 5 yard crosser patterns we want to. If the first read is covered Tommy panics and he will not run. The last FG drive vs USD we went 67 yards in 17 plays. 17 plays....that's less than 4 yards a play and we were behind by 2 scores. Did I say it chewed up almost 7 minutes of clock? Did the staff think we were protecting a lead?

The last half of this is demotivational. WTH? "We needed to make a stop"? "Specials need to make a play"? Who do we think we will beat with 10 points? The UND drive chart on the day.... 3 plays 4 yards 7-75 = TD 6-30 3-(-6) 5-13 3-9 5-20 9-26 17-67 = FG

The offense needs to make major improvements NOW. How many games are winnable scoring 10 offensive points?
-
3rd and 6 at USD 29( we are in FG range). USD shows bringing 6, they only bring 5 but loop someone around who is not picked up. What should Tommy do with the ball?
-
Key drive yesterday was in 2nd quarter. Defense has adjust the offense has a good drive, USD leads 10-7. Defense forces a punt and the punt is blocked. Offense takes over at the USD 33 yard line. We score a TD at that moment and UND wins going away. Instead, incomplete pass to Richter in end zone, Otis for 4 yards and Tommy is sacked. An average QB doesn't take that sack, we had the ball at USD 29. Can we stop all the talk that Tommy has a weak arm, won't run, can't read defenses, can't see over the line..... but he doesn't make mistakes and is a "Winner". If Quincy and Feeney don't have more potential than Tommy, then we need to completely re-evaluate QB recruiting.

A dynamic QB(5-10 called runs and scrambles a game), changes what the defense can and can't do. We have a QB right now that makes his first read and hits that receiver if he is open, usually within 15 yards of LOS unless the receiver is wide open. The offensive production(not counting Drake) has been beyond bad during the second half of the last 3 games. This is the same pattern from the last several games of the spring season.

Forget about all the redshirt talk. Even before the portal, how many guys actually make it to a 5th year? its a new day in college football . Play the best players now.
-
Do you actually watch the game? It’s a qb driven game at the moment. Without a dynamic qb, very hard for UND to get to next level.
-
We are trying to win FCS, neither qb would ever do that. Not sure what your point is?
-
We have a good defense, give feeney a try, above average qb play and like I said we would be 2-0 in the valley. Would also open things up for Otis. we will not win many valley games scoring 10 points.
-
Then try him, especially if he can run 5-8 times a game for 20-50 yards. there were several plays today we had trios to one side and we had inline te to other side. Boot qb or roll hime o te side, tommy should be able to run there and then they have to adjust.
-
Watch the game again. Count how many times Tommy throws to someone besides his first read. Any fcs qb should be able to make ANY throw Tommy made today. Our offense is two shifts, someone in motion, and Tommy hits a 5 yard crosser or the back out of the backfield for 3 yards.
-
Not sure if Bubba has ever had one, he has never played one. Tommy is not it. I’d give Quincy or Feeney a shot. 3 tds in each game the last 2 weeks and UND would be in the MVFC drivers seat. The offense is now painful to watch.
-
The hawks will never be more than they are right now(5-8 regular season fcs wins)without a dynamic qb. D coordinators now know what to do vs Tommy. Danny is out of ideas, even the scripted first dozen plays are not enough.
-
Not sure, but Shuster is easy to defend. Anyone can make his completions. It’s almost always first read.
-
The defense and specials gave the O the ball early at the USD 33….ended in a punt.
-
We need to face the fact that there is now plenty of film out there on Shuster. He is now a liability. Will hurt some feelings but that is the truth. Anyone can make the passes he makes, he never checks down and he refuses to run. We move a zillion pieces around to complete a 5 yard pass.
-
Offense used all timeouts early due to incompetence
-
Good to score, but this is a” 3 yards and a cloud of dust” passing offense.
-
The offense is a !@#$ show. One drive all day. One.
-
At least we didn’t have to call timeout before running a play this series.
-
3 and out. Now we HAVE to get points.
-
Defense needs 3 and out here badly.
-
This does not feel good at all. Offense struggles getting multiple first downs.
-
Don’t understand what has happened with Danny and the O. It’s anemic.
