  1. So you are saying the scales and baggies are made up? Unless those two factors are made up, I don't care. They are done.
  2. I will never ever jump ship but this a problem and I would feel better if I thought the three arrested over the last 6 months were it. I wonder how many guys are using and how often. More to the problems this year than just injuries IMO.
  3. This is a HUGE problem on this team. I have hinted about it on here before. It is HUGE.
  4. This was becoming a part of the team culture. It needs to be stopped NOW!
  5. I am embarrassed. At some point this starts to really effect recruiting, or maybe it already has.
  6. I agree 100%. This is not like they were just pulled over on their way home. Ill say it again, who were their biggest customers?
  7. I am sure there are a few of you on here that hear the stories about the team. Every time I am in GF I hear more stuff that makes me wonder. I discount most of it as BS, exagerations and 'boys will be boys'. IMO there is getting to be way too much smoke to not have a roaring fire somewhere. First Poole is busted for dealing in May, and now this. Poole had cocaine residue with his arrest. I have heard stories about that too. I have been around the block enough to not expect the team to be a bunch of choir boys, but this is ridiculous. Who do we think the best customers are? How many guys are really concentrating on being a better football player and team member? I love UND football and this just sucks. If i was Bubba i would start drug testing every week and let the guys play who can handle that. i am sincerely afraid of how many guys could not handle that.
  8. It will be very painful. This goes deep.
  9. Three players arrested in 6 months for dealing? IMO this is getting F#40@#9*4 serious.
  10. 4-1 or even 3-2 right now and the Alerus would be sold out and rockin'. Will take longer now to make Fighting Hawk Football a must attend event. I know Kennedy wants to take the university to the next level and great sports with football and mens basketball leading the way, are the path to that outcome.
  11. UND was on the verge of making home football games an event not to be missed. Hopefully it still gets to that point, but we need a few wins yet this season and then a playoff season next year. This years Potato Bowl had the feeling of an event and even the Mont State game had some of that feeling too. What a shame.
  12. I think this is in the 'must win' category now for the psyche of the team and probably the staff. UNC ran for only 69 yards at NAU. If UND can hold them under 150 yards rushing, and that is a big if. Need to put pressure on QB to slow down their passing game. UNC gave up over 600 yards and 42 point vs Idaho State and gave up over 400 yards vs Northern Arizona and 48 points so Keaton and co should be able to run and pass to at least 30 points. UND 36-27.
  13. This is more than just another issue IMO.
  14. There is more really bad news coming for North Dakota football. As a football booster and fan it makes me question the overall culture on the team. The team is not focused the way it should be on football, that is obvious.
  15. There is a huge culture problem on this team. It makes me sick to my stomach.
  16. This is a huge problem on this team. You will all find out shortly. Poole was not operating in a vacuum. What a mess.
  17. What does that mean? You know something?
  18. i think you saw some of that vs Davis. Need to find a way to stretch the field offensively. Defense is more problematic with the ILB. I'm not sure Rastas would be 195 if you weighed him today adn even Jake 200? Now Jake is out which will probably even more problematic. I think Schmidt could do more sending the OLB on the edge to stir things up and maybe even drop Rastas back into safety coverage and Jake when he is back and bring cole and stewart. Have to figure something out. I think the ILB problems have exposed another problem with the DL, Many of the 3X3 deep just are not big enough IMO. Need DL al more shaped like tank and less like a big linebacker.
  19. Bubbaball is built on running the ball, controlling the clock and mixing in some play action passes. With the line injuries, running the ball was very tough until last week and even then much of the yardage was from 2 big runs for Santiago. On defense Bubbaball is about stopping the run and putting lots of pressure on the opposing qb through blitzes which forces lots of turnovers and the defense scoring lots of points. The last three games the offense has not been able to run the ball and the defense has not been able to stop the run, not putting the opposition in position where blitzing works as well. When we do blitz, we don't have the athletes or experience to get home. When you read Tom Miller's blog piece it really helps put it all in perspective. The injuries/retirement have made certain positions a weakness instead of a strength. IMO very few teams could have 60% of the starting OL out and 5 ILB out and be nearly as competitive. Think about how different if we had starting OL intact and O'brien and Rodgers were backed up by Larson and Hunt not to mention losing Harris for the season and Reyes for at least one game.
  20. Lots of quality players in suburban Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis that UND can build a compelling case for.
  21. I was hoping a playoff run this year would make it easier to get some quality guys in Wisconsin and Illinois. Still can, just a little tougher than it was 9 months ago.
  22. I think that is a tough position to bring in quality transfers or JUCos
  23. Yeah, I think that could be categorized as a recruiting miss.
  24. Cam Hunt in lineup backing up Rastas. Also Neverman starting for Disterhaupt with Corby Richman as backup. ILB: 195lb RFr backed up by 210 lb RFr who has never played before. ILB: Sr RB who is backed up by a sophomore who was a true walk on. nothing against any of these guys, but I don't imagine Schmidt ever dreamt this would be his homecoming ILB lineup.
