  1. Where will Bubba ball go from here? Who would have thought going into this season on October 15, UND would be 2-5 and that the closest loss would have been in Salt Lake City? IMO the worst part of this season is the deflation in the support for the program. I can’t imagine the difference in enthusiasm there will be for Eastern Washington vs what the Alerus Center was like for the Potato Bowl. This was going to be the season UND took the next step to becoming an elite fcs program. 4 big games to go, as a I said yesterday, need to find a a way to pull out 2 of them. Not going to be easy to do. EVERY part of the program will need to be re-evaluated after melt down on this scale. Obviously the coaching staff will need to looked at and some significant changes will need to be made in personnel and scheme. (looking back makes me wonder if Coach Maurice knew something else the rest of us did not) Strength & Conditioning Fall Camp practice In season practice Spring practice Recruiting and retention Player development and evaluations Player expectations and discipline Training and Medical staff and procedures and Rehab in game management What did I miss? it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out over the next 10 months. I don’t believe in “luck”. There can be a bad bounce or two but there is more to this meltdown than that. This season happened for reasons some of which we probably don’t grasp yet. What happened this season can never be allowed to happen again.
  2. This is exactly right. Makes me question the S&C and the commitment, etc. IF Bennett was 270 like he should be he would be an absolute beast.
  3. This is a huge need. Need more guys in the 280-310 lb range. I think Morrison, Seguin and Ott will be in that range by next year and as sophs for sure.
  4. I can think of worse things than being on a D1 football team.
  5. He is not a college QB, I think that is evident in his two games this season. Lets get him to a different position and see if he can be a college football player.
  6. Top 5 in tackles today were either true frosh or rfrosh.
  7. Sacramento State @Portland State @Southern Utah Eastern Washington We need to find a way to win 2 of the final 4. Sacramento State next Saturday and @ Portland State IMO are best shots. Need to get Studsrud, Stewart back for sure. Anyone any info on Haas?
  8. 604 yards for Montana. Yikes.
  9. No idea what the coaches have been watching in practice unless Zimmerman is way better in a game than practice. Absolutely no comparison.
  10. Can he run? sounds good. Need some bodies.
  11. I agree. It reached a tipping point after last season IMO. Now Bubba and co need to reel it back in. We have players not playing today who are not injured. One guy is recovering from pneumonia and one guy did not practice all week. Nobody seems to know why. Will not be easy.
  12. I don't think the season could have gone as predicted with the off field problems.
  13. Rudolf must not have watched Heidelbaughs plays from earlier this season.
  14. Where are Haas and Fiedler?
  15. The culture is a train wreck and it has severely divided the team.
  16. If Bubba drug tested before the guys got on the plane, lots of the team would not be in Missoula.

  17. All of the injuries, sickness, suspensions, violations, arrests, its all just weird coincidence?
  18. I think much of the team is still celebrating last season's championship.
  19. Haas did not practice all week.
  20. This issue needs to be examined thoroughly after the season. There has been more wrong than just bad luck. Bubba trying to get control back.
  21. Its all about ball control. UND controls ball for over 32 minutes and we win, anything less we lose. We will struggle in the usual spots stopping the qb and the inside run. Oline is getting better and hopefully can have enough charge to protect Studs, and get JS, BO, and JJ some room to run. UND gets an early lead and hangs on 41-38.
  22. There have been so many plays like that this season....just momentum killers. Rastas, Neverman, Richman giving their all but in reality without the injuries I see Rastas as backup as a jr and sr and never a starter, and Neverman and Richman as never seeing the field other than ko cover. I would think on that play with Rastas in position, if that is O'brien, Rodgers, Hunt or Larson that is a gain of 1-2 yards or maybe even a loss. Same thing is happening in the secondary although I am not sure the dropoff has been so abrupt.
  23. Have heard it is really weak. Not sure if that is because of injuries or what. Hopefully is all being evaluated.
  24. I don't see any dline with the possible exception of bennett that can move even close to fast enough for ILB. Would be fine if the other team NEVER passed or ran wide but i don't think the Grizzlies would oblige. Not sure if you guys noticed but on one of the UNC touchdown runs Rastas was way too slow to make the tackle and Neverman was spun around a couple times trying to make the tackle. I liked Cam Hunt on Saturday, still tons to learn but certainly is a bigger guy that can move. TD run is at 1:54 of video:
