  1. Yes, I am aware of Finley and happy to have him, I want the next one. Also, Hale Commie Green Smaby all struggled their freshman year, goes with the size.
  2. No, it means you must leagally change your real name to Siouxdonyms.
  3. And breath...
  4. And a senior named Zach Parise... But it doesn't work that way...
  5. Please let it be Zelken or Campion.
  6. OK, well then, that answers all my questions...
  7. Wow, should this be sensored...
  8. Sadly, likely choice 3...
  9. This is a little disappointing. The Sioux have now lost to potential elite physical defenseman in a row, to eastern team. I am greedy and want to see the huge UND D-men pipeline filled...
  10. Commordore has become a legit big time NHL Defensman.
  11. Never mind... http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?sh...pic=1122&st=940
  12. Sweet, anyone know what Ryan is doing?
  13. No, of course not. Below is a clip from the Western College Hockey Blog. I don't take shots at Gopher recruits as I have a great amount of respect for the program. I actually expected O'Brian to end up at CC, so the Minnesota commitment is a surprise. I also think that this would indicate that Potulmy and/or Irmen are leaving, though this could just be a Bostrum replacement. And for the record the post was made prior to O'Brian committing. EDIT: My knowledge of O'Brian committing...
  14. Don't know, but I think that the reality is that Merrimack probably wouldn't go after a UND caliber recruit. Also he is an '85 birthdate, meaning his WCHA window has probably past. Heisenburg does have him on his list, but towards the bottom.
  15. Yup got my tickets, and looking forward to it, how bout you? If so I think a Barley Pop meeting may be in order.
  16. Offense yes, but I would have to say that Erik Johnson on D also looked very good. Maybe Oshie was still better, but not well above.
  17. Hate to give them credit, but this has historically been a strength of Minnesota's much like Physical play has been for UND
  18. Not love... Who we would most like to see. i.e. easiest road to Milwaukee... I don't think Minnesota would appreciate the prospect of trying to win for a 4th strait time at the Ralph...
  19. Um, maybe you should just stay away...
  20. Hey Goon, I was looking for the PWR rankings, bu tthey aren't out on USCHO yet. Do you know where I can find them?
  21. Olympic ice is definately a factor. It gives a strong advantage to spped and skill.
  22. I'm curious about this too, I asked a few weeks ago. This game is famous for having scoring forwards like Matt Greene and Karl Goering and designating NW Minnesota as Canada (a half truth)...
  23. I may be in the minority here (and I usually am), but I would hate to see Tech leave the WCHA. Tech is one of the reasons why the WCHA is the best conference in Hockey. They have won numerous championships and have had some of the greatest college players ever. There is alot of history there. Rather I hope that someday the school/alumni provide a cash infusion and upgrade facilities such that the school can get more top recruits. I would hate to see NDSU (or some other loser school) in the WCHA, because they will suck forever and never really contribute to making the league better.
  24. I'm no insider, but I think that they want to bring in one more big D-man (Sneep or LaPoint has also been mentioned) and a Goalie for 2007 Theissen from the BCHL is the most likely. Perhaps others based on early departures. Also it would appear the Jim O'brian is no longer being considered with the signing of Darcy Zajac. Jim's character has been called into question, so maybe this is OK.
  25. Congrats, but with 3 points this obviously was a slow week. Also Harrington won defensive player of the week. Insert joke here... He won this after getting a DQ over the weekend.
