  1. I’m just glad there’s no Idaho state on the schedule and I’m hoping they don’t find a new kryptonite!
  2. They don’t play ND teams often though do they? Maybe south once a year at most?
  3. Welp they did play again, and they lost to both again. Pretty clear EGF just isn’t as good
  4. Is NDSU missing a couple top guys tonight? Injuries?
  5. Wow can UND just drop both men’s and women’s basketball already? What an embarrassment to the school.
  6. Any new projects Or businesses moving in?
  7. That program will be just fine with the influx of shanley kids
  8. Wrong. Williston has put together some dingers for teams over the years. They beat high quite a few times in the 2001-2006 span. Also in 2009-2010 when williston was 19-4, they beat high once. Williston ended up placing 3rd at state and high lost to central in the championship. They beat them once the year before that as well when they went 18-5.
  9. Finally! I was wondering when you’d chime in!
  10. He must be buttering up his social justice archives in preparation for a job at the NYT. Guy has gone full send on 2020. Surprising considering the GFH is already hanging on by a thread. Why alienate half your readers?! Bad business sense apparently
  11. So you beg folks to come eat in EGF over GF because they need it more, then turnaround and laugh at a post about a GF restaurant closing, and about all the GF vacancies? You’ve helped me decide to spend every dollar on the west side of the river next time I’m in GGF. Enjoy Walz
  12. Are we sure Kuda Bank isn’t just the bank funding the new build? I’m assuming we all know that’s common for the bank who’s financing the build to put up their sign at the build site but just thought I’d ask haha
  13. Yes for several years now. They shined things up quite a bit for them
  14. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/government-and-politics/6708635-Despite-pandemic-Grand-Forks’-sales-tax-revenue-outpaces-2019
  15. Wow that’s great news. This is the first legitimate new business moving to GF that I’ve seen in quite a long time. Hopefully there are more drone companies to follow. I can’t read the article so can someone tell me how many employees are expected?
  16. They needed ANYONE other than Brown at least 8 years ago. It’s unbelievable the ground GF has lost in the past 10 years compared to other similar cities. GF was very similar to Fargo, Bismarck and Sioux Falls 10-15 years ago. Now look at the differences, it’s unbelievable how far GF has fallen behind. And I’ll give you a hint, it’s not just because GF only has one interstate going through town. Mayor Bo will make some improvements, but in reality, it’s an impossible uphill battle to get back on pace with the peer-cities. I’m hopeful GF can at least move at their own pace in a better upward trend, and can capitalize on some of their niches and maybe even find a few new ones. At this point they have to find those because they won’t be able to compete with Fargo, SF and Bis for any common industry businesses wanting to move to the semi-local area.
  17. This list will get longer by the month. The tipping point is far gone. GF is no longer business competition for anyone other than EGF and Crookston. I don’t expect to see any new Major businesses moving to Gf anytime in the foreseeable future. They’ve even dropped the ball on UAV business development in a big way in my opinion.
  18. Great idea. Malls are doing spectacular right now They should job-poach the Columbia mall manager to get things kick started right away
  19. Thanks for explaining. Wow that’s comical. Clean house
  20. I can’t open it because even the GFH is apparently holding on by a thread. What’s it say and what’s the EDC?
  21. 165 jobs per year in a MSA population around 105,000....unbelievably frighteningly poor. And I really hope that’s net. Either way holy crap Peers are creating 5x that right here in ND and even 10x that in Fargo’s case. What’s GF’s excuse? The amazon deal they let fall through alone costed them more than 660 jobs in one swipe. Despicable. It’s honestly as if the city of GF is actually pushing hard to deter growth and development. Even an extremely lazy and passive group of leadership in their place could’ve had enough opportunities fall into their lap over the past 4 years to produce more than 660 jobs in this market. It’s honestly appears like there is a large effort to stop anything new from happening. Are most of the city council members and city leadership team business owners? Do they screen out all of the opportunities to make sure it won’t negatively affect their personal income? Did I hear it correctly that NO ONE on the council got challenged for their spot? If so, what the hell kind of corrupt good ole boys club is going on in forks? Amazing to see for a city of that size
  22. What businesses have recently planted roots in GF? Red river petroleum? 30 employees? I honestly can’t name anything else recently which is unbelievably sad. Grand Sky and GAAS somewhat recent. Marvin windows? Nope. Digikey? Nope. FedEx? Nope. US Borderstates? Nope. You can physically see GF falling behind Fargo, Bismarck and even Minot by the week.Oil money yes, but you can clearly see Dickinson and Williston pressing on at a rate much higher than GF which will likely prove them out to be bigger hubs than GF by 2030 at this rate.
