  1. This maybe an embarrassing subject, since it doesn't really matter, but is there nobody at the University that could make cool looking commitment edits for players? I know the Football program puts together stuff for potential recruits.
  2. Love the Simpson hire. Get young with that 3rd assistant. Recruiting has been solid, no doubt, but I think more youth on the Coaching staff will help.
  3. Just watched the video. When Tommy was announced, did his teammates chant Schuuu or did @SIOUXFAN97 actually hear one player say boo? Controversy?
  4. The one I bolded.
  5. If InForum's poll is any indication, this won't even come close to passing.
  6. As an anti-NDSU Fargo resident who never goes to the Dome you would think this would be an automatic no vote. I’ll be voting yes. The phrase lipstick on a pig would be appropriate. The way I look at it, vote yes, you won’t hear about anything in relation to big updates / new building for 30 years.
  7. That's why I was wondering about timing. Was Carroll healthy at the start of Fall camp, or have they been working with those four (that are healthy) the entire time? Would be nice to give a 60/40 split against Drake to the top two on the depth chart.
  8. Was just listening to the 360 podcast, breaking down the O-Line. Was not aware that Carroll is out for the year with a back injury. Huge loss. Both Centers that played last year will not be playing this year. Does anyone know when this injury happened? Recent? They have four working at Center right now, Borud, Lavell, Olson, Buxa.
  9. https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/local/during-state-of-university-speech-und-president-andrew-armacost-touts-enrollment-growth-new-programs Enrollment estimated to be up 1.88% over last Fall.
  10. First commit of this recruiting cycle that really stings, but I'll stick with the comment of I'll be more than happy if just one of the group of Hensler, Mooney, Potter commits to UND.
  11. The last sentence is absolutely true. Also, NDSU does get a lot more out of Teammakers than the Champions Club. Are you relying on your last point (student fees / state funding) as to why NDSU could afford to fund a higher FBS budget? Why is UND about maxed out? If you listen to the NDSU propaganda machine The Forum, you will come to the conclusion that NDSU has more money than they know what to do with. Or that the big $ are just waiting to be donated once they go FBS. Why take away hockey spending? I'm kind of all over the place. I'm not even going to argue that NDSU isn't in a better Athletic financial place, but is actually that much better? I also really don't get the maxed out comment with UND.
  12. Is this the direction it appears they are heading down? Where I'm at a loss for this, does anyone outside of the Pac-4, MW, AAC think they could put together any combination of teams and it would be a "Power" conference?
  13. Some notes I picked up on Schultz. 4 Star Great 17 Camp recently, was PuckPreps biggest riser. Made Hlinka camp but left off team. An important note. Schultz is an Oct. bday. Only one player on the roster had a Fall / Winter '06 bday. Had a really solid year on the best team in the State, played in the best conference. Sophomore: 36 Points Comparing. Juniors: Teddy Townsend (EP / UofM ) - 39 pts Javon Moore (Minnetonka / UofMN) 37 pts I love this pickup. Will potentially be the best Junior playing HS in Minnesota next year. Also, plays for Minnetonka. I think it's crucial for UND to become a player again in the Twin Cities.
  14. Definitely worth noting. He was one who was following a handful of schools, but not UND. If they can just pull one from the Mooney / Potter / Hensler group.
  15. Schloss did say that the list isn't the Top 20 players, it's tailored more towards UND with some other big names sprinkled in.
  16. I'm just so confused from the ACC perspective. It seems incredibly short-sided. Travel would be awful for Stanford / Cal. For the ACC schools, you're talking ONE West Coast Road trip per sport per year. It's like they didn't just see what happened to the PAC.
  17. Last night's updates are sending this in a different direction. Reports are that although Notre Dame is pulling for them to be admitted, and there are still discussions ongoing, Cal and Stanford are longshots to be admitted into the ACC. Which is the most likely scenario? Pac-4 join the MWC (or some sort of conference merger) Pac-4 join the AAC Pac-4 try to rebuild the conference slowly* That last one is what I'm worried about. Pick the top 2 or 4 from the AAC short-term. Then wait it out for the Top of the MWC.
  18. How about Tommy being left off the poster? Anything new on that?
  19. Tickets not going as fast for the NDSU game as it did last time. 952 available tickets currently. Will be a sellout, but most likely not until week of.
  20. Current rumors, which might be obsolete by noon. ACC is still internally discussing the additions of not only Cal & Stanford, but also potentially SMU. MWC seems aligned. Would add Pac-4 but would not move the 9 best to PAC leaving others behind. AAC also wants remaining Pac-4 schools Here's my thinking. If I'm looking at the Pac-4, MWC, AAC. The big time $ is gone. The only way to get that $ is to move to one of the remaining Power conferences. Where I am a bit confused. Why would the ACC not admit Cal & Stanford? From a travel perspective, we're talking 1 road trip for each sport out to San Francisco. You play them both on that swing. Travel would be atrocious for Cal & Stanford, but not the other way around. Also, look what just happened to the Pac-12. There's only a handful of big players that aren't in the BIG, 12, SEC. Get them into the fold. My guess still is ACC admits Cal & Stanford. Wazzu and Oregon State to MWC. That's it.
  21. Pete Thamel's reporting in the next 24 hours, there's two calls for the ACC to vet early exploratory discussions on the potential additions of Cal and Stanford. What would make the most sense to me. Cal and Stanford join one of the ACC / BIG / Big 12. I have a hard time believing they want anything to do with the rest in the West. Wazzu and Oregon State to the MWC.
  22. The two big rumors right now going around are. MWC: Effectively dissolves. 9 members vote to leave the conference (waive the $34 million exit fees). MWC is in the position that the PAC is in now. Oregon State / San Diego State: In talks w/ Big 12 to go at a reduced rate. I want to concentrate on the top rumor. Where would UND be in the G5 / FCS pecking order? The worry now for me as far as UND is they are left out on this big shift that sees NDSU / SDSU / Mont / Mont State / Idaho / UC Davis / Sac State backfilling the MWC.
  23. Bumping the presale question back up.
