  1. I'd be all in for Nashville and more than likely LA. After Omaha, I won't be attending anymore outdoor games, not fun at all.
  2. That's fair and is basically what the UND officials, I mean Schlossman wrote. I just hope they truly exhausted all options on gaging fan interest before they made the call. It's over and I guess I don't know what I'd expect them to say. I'm sure there is some anger internally (duh) about this, but it's over.
  3. I truly believe this week off is going to change the trajectory of the season and I couldn't be more optimistic. UND was in a funk like I haven't seen in a long time in the last 6. Nothing was going in for them, nothing. On the other end, unlucky / fluke goals by the other team. They get to rest up, get Jost back, I think this team is going on a run. Like others have said, I think this team is just as talented as anyone else. I like them in any game, just got to get to Fargo! Think they sweep this weekend.
  4. I couldn't tell if this was written by Schlossman or the UND officials who made the decision. It reads like someone who is defending why they made a decision (that was wrong) to their boss. "At this time, officials didn’t have a lot of things to reference when guessing potential attendance." I get this and hindsight is 20/20, but to me it comes down to did they do everything they could to try to gage interest. This includes reaching out to Championship Club members, ect. "They weren’t sure with T-Mobile. In the end, they have acknowledged that they feel bad that there are some fans who wanted to attend but won’t be able to. But they are excited about the event being a slam dunk." I guess my reaction would be a little different if I was responsible for leaving $500K on the table, but that's me.
  5. Looks like a nice pickup, 6G 12A in 47 games as a 16 year old rookie in the AJHL. Nice size at 6'1" 180 already, one of the youngest kids in the league. 5th round WHL draft pick. Could make the jump in '18 as a true freshman.
  6. This is stuff I should just leave alone, but what are you even talking about with your first sentence? People discuss what's going on with Boeser, why he isn't performing like last year and you write like people want him off the team or wish he never came here. I don't think anyone would disagree with you on that first sentence, really taking a stand.
  7. I'll have to check out the interview, they are asking questions that I've been wondering as well!
  8. I know the way UND has played the last 6, there's probably no room to talk, but besides CC, I'd want SCSU. Both those teams are not good, at all.
  9. I wouldn't bet on it, but I wonder if the powers at be are taking a look at a switch? I don't know what kind of penalties there'd be, or how the contract was written with the Orleans arena, but I'd be disappointed if they weren't at least looking into it. The way I look at it, this is still 20 months away, reassigning tickets would be a hassle, but could easily be done for everyone currently with a ticket. They sold 8,000 tickets before it was even on sale to the general public. The potential buyers are any Non-Champions Club UND fan as well as the entire Gopher fan base. Without a doubt you have 5,000 easily in that group ($500,000), but each 1,000 added to that list is an extra $100,000 of pure profit. They have time to fix this, I hope they can. Edit: The more I think about this, the more I think that they have to be looking into it. There's no reason not to. We aren't talking about potential revenue anymore. Them not knowing if 8,000 would show up (Orleans Arena perfect fit) or 9,000 total (where the extra costs wouldn't make the T-Mobile arena a good fit). This is as close to a guarantee as you can get that like I put above, you'd get an extra 4 or 5K people. Probably more than that, but there's no risk in the under to that.
  10. Union and Cornell play pretty average to poor teams tonight, with wins will jump UND. I expect UND to be #12 going into next weekends games. The bye week still game a great time given the injuries / how UND was playing, but in the short term, doesn't help them in the PWR. Good news is they still control their own destiny down the stretch.
  11. The Herald should be embarrassed about the first article they put out.
  12. Mismash has been on a tear lately, 10 points in his last 5 games (7G 3A). Takes over the team lead in points with 37 points, also leads with 21 goals (2nd most is 14). Wouldn't be surprised if he keeps this up if he sneaks into the 1st round.
  13. MC / BC stream if anyone is interested --- http://americansportsnet.com/live
  14. I'd be interested to see what they actually did to come up with the decision that the T-Mobile center wasn't feasible. I mean when you can sell out the Orleans with only tickets sold to the Champions club, I would think that would be a hint that you'd probably sell a few more. I get they can't afford to lose money, but they also can't afford leaving a potential million dollars of ticket sales on the table (10,000 more seats at T-Mobile). They didn't do enough research obviously, because they were flat out wrong having it at the Orleans.
  15. Lets make sure we are all on the same page. We can all agree that the Champions Club allotment, which was basically every seat not given to the schools, was sold out, correct? This has nothing to do with risking to be in Champions Club, you know that there were only so many seats available, right?
  16. What does the crowd for MSG have to do with the one in Vegas? This isn't just hindsight, why would anyone think that?
  17. I genuinely don't follow what you are saying at all, lets cut our loses on this one.
  18. What are you talking about? What does the Champions Club have to do with what I put?
  19. When you are UND, you don't take risks, I'm surprised they didn't find a smaller arena to put it in.
  20. Should have charged more per ticket. Anyone have a book on Supply and Demand they could send to team think small? In all seriousness, what a blown opportunity to make the school some money. Especially in times where the athletic department could use it, somebody dropped the ball, big time.
  21. You can make an argument about the costs associated w/ each arena, but the MSG argument is really, really dumb, if you think that number would translate to Vegas.
  22. The University of Think Small strikes again. I just don't understand how they didn't foresee this. Someone said it earlier and they are right, this would have been the most demand for tickets in the University history. Let's play it at a 7,700 seat Orleans Arena...what a joke.
  23. UND thinking small? Never. They just can't get our of their own way, ever.
  24. I think it will be pretty close to regionals as well, a couple minutes and they are all gone.
