I would say $200 per ticket for lower, $150 for upper. I think they nailed the pricing for this ticket. Personally, I wouldn't spend over $120 per ticket, but would buy them at $100 per.

I do think the increased expectations have really magnified the injuries that have taken place this season, which I do agree aren't that different than most years. What's pretty amazing is where this program is at. Depth is the name of the game, I realize that, but we aren't worried about the starting 11 that will be trotting out their next Thursday, but depth issues at certain positions. This program has come along way, when you look at this team as a whole and you can really only point to two position groups (S & ILB) on the entire team where there are really any worries about depth. Rereading Craig's article, it appears Larson is still very much in the discussion this year, just not Game 1. I don't think the moves today create any big waves for the year. You'd like to keep the RS on Shannon, but it happens. Turner will now supply depth at LB and not Safety (would still like to see him at Safety one day), as they wait for Larson to get healthy. Then Disterhaupt can move back outside.

Agreed, I'm a firm believer that unless the person is going to start or brings something to the table the unit doesn't have (Izzy's case being able to spread the defense), the player should redshirt. I don't think the coaching staff pulls his shirt if he's comparable to others that are fighting for the backup spot. Both good and bad, you'd hope that Canady would be the guy, but if Shannon is, so be it. Noah Larson's current injury sure looks like it's shaking up the defense big time, with Turner coming back to the LB position, forcing Shannon to lose his redshirt.

I believe Parise's recruiting trip was during the opening night of the new Ralph.

That's good news, just being a parrot of the podcast, but Larson needs to be one of the guys on the inside this year. Sounds like the coaches really want Disterhaupt on the outside. Utah can't come soon enough. Coming into Fall camp I was skeptical of two positions, LB & Safety. Feel better about LB with the emergence of Hass to go along w/ Rodgers, Disterhaupt, Lawrence as well as Larson. All eyes are on the Safety position.

The depth will be much improved over last year. It's an experienced bunch, but what's exciting is we have legitimate battles going on for starting spots. What's the most exciting of all, is a lot are coming from the RS freshman class. Sounds like Rooney (So) is a lock at center, Taylor (Jr) at RG and Cox (Sr) at RT, Tobin (FR) is pushing Bell (SR) hard at LG and Stockwell (SR) is being pushed by Mortel (FR) and Bennett (FR) at LT. We have Blair (So) who started a few games at RT backing up Cox, Aplin (JR) who started 8 games last year at either guard or center. Miller (SR) has experience starting at one point and played a lot last year. Add Nygon and Russo also to the list. Breaking it down to class and position, I think I'm more excited about the potential of the FR O-Line class than any other on the team. The O-Line will be improved this year, but should be outstanding for years to come.

Any update on Larson? After listening to the UND360 podcast, it seemed those guys still thought as of now, he was getting his shirt pulled. Craig seemed to be aware of his knee as well.
-
I'm guessing they knew the results, just took this long for someone to report on it.

UND will be a deeper team this year, the kick off coverage got considerably better last year when they started having Reyes, ect... on there. It's not the scheme, but the talent level of the players on it.

University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

This. Love the move by those in charge of pricing the tickets. This will be a couple $100,000 of pure profit for the athletic department. It's one series every couple of years, I don't see anything wrong with it. -
If this Grady news sticks (or really has any truth, @Feff put it perfectly), that will be a tough pill to swallow, coming on the heels of Harris going down. Fall camp can't come soon enough, time for some guys to really step up.

Neutral Zone star rankings on UND's last four recruits. Bowen - 4.5 Kunz - 4.5 Donovan - 4.25 Kleven - 4.75

Talk about a who's who of offers Kleven had, circled off basically every major program in the country, great get by the coaching staff! I'm not sure if just recently Brad started to report more offers than previous recruits, but both Kleven & Donovan were great gets. I've always been a get the best players, no matter where they're from, but love seeing so many local recruits recently. In other committed recruits news, the U-17 Canadian Development camp is underway, both Reid & Blaisdell are taking part in it, big day for Blaisdell with 2G's 1A in a 3-1 win for team Gold. https://www.hockeycanada.ca/en-ca/national-championships/men/world-u17/2017/development-camp/stats/game-summary?gameid=1694

I guess we'll find out next week, but does anyone have current information on Grady?
-
Good call, jumped the gun with him being on the Ivan Hlinka roster, didn't notice he had a late '00 birthday.
-
I realize he's only going into this senior year, but it appears he's kind of a late bloomer. Grew 4 inches in the past year, USA Hockey lists him at 6'3", so he's a big kid. Joins Hain on this years USA Ivan Hlinka roster. Really like this addition.

This hurts clearly, but CB is one of the positions I feel UND had definite depth going into the year. A core of Hunt / Holm / Carter is still solid, would be nice though if #4 wasn't a true freshman.
-
Using a simple, Better, Same, Worse, how would everyone rank how each unit should be when comparing this season to last? Better - QB, OL, RB, TE, WR, CB Same - DL, Safety Worse - LB
-
Anyone know when Bubba is going to release the pre-fall depth chart? It was released right before the Big Sky kickoff last year.
-
Looking at UND's schedule (using Media Poll) Home Games: 2, 8, 9, 12 Away Games: 6, 7, 10, 11 Missing: 3, 4, 5

01's were last week (Mancinelli had 3G's), 02's are going on currently.

Anyone know why Jackson Kunz isn't at the Select 15 Development Camp?
