  1. hes a great prospect and his dad did play in the show. would be a hell of a get to land him and potentialy gramaldi. matteau played for AAA notre dame this last season has duel citizenship. he will play for usa ntdp team this season found this on him matteau
  2. i dont care if hes 5'5 or 6'3 as long as he can flat out play and this guy from the sounds can!!
  3. wonder if toews ever thought this guy would ever be sporting his jersey chelios also in jordans suite in the bottom row
  4. st louis blues fan awards Most Popular Player - T.J. Oshie (61% of total votes) Runner-up: Keith Tkachuk (12% of total votes) Fans were fascinated with T.J. Oshie long before he ever wore a Blue Note. Maybe it was that he impressed and dangled the puck at the various rookie camps or maybe it was the big hits fans watched on YouTube while he played at the University of North Dakota. Whatever started the popularity, it's still going and for good reason. Oshie plays the game hard every night and delivers a few highlight reel plays (and hits) to boot.
  5. yeah its getting crazy for the pac 10 and possible re alignment. im a big pac 10 guy having gone to arizona state and i hope this happens. college football is the main reason as we all know was looking for a huge movement and this could start everything to lead to 4 super conferences in a way. i understand why purists may be upset with changes all over the board but money talks as we all know and this will happen and change the landscape of college sports
  6. Narrated by the radio voice of UND Hockey Tim Hennessy, this two part feature chronicles the Sioux Hockey program and some noted alumni from the beginning to present day. Part 1 Part 2
  7. woops i meant his sister
  8. of course it would be the best for he franchise to move, it would also make sense to have no florida teams, no atlanta team and nashville. I dont have a issue with the california teams because gretzky brought it there and is the reason that we have hockey in non traditional hockey markets. put all those teams in so called hockey markets along with phoenix. i have a strong passion for the coyotes having worked for them for the 05/06 season under the great one and 2 und alums who were all amazing people so i would hate to see them go but also understand if it happens which is a strong possibility. phoenix is very diverse, no doubt. unless you are a suns fan which dominates arizona as a whole everyone else has the az teams as their 2nd team which is fine as thats how i am with all az and miny teams except the az cardinals. it is a big mess with the coyotes right now in trying to find a owner. seems its going to be phoenix or winnipeg when it al clears. go sioux
  9. eddie the eagle is was the man! i got the avatar from some guy who made tons over on hfboards for all the hawks, they were all sweet and especially the one of kanes girlfriend or finance or who cares as it was nice!
  10. good for chicago, nothing wrong with some bandwagon fans joining in and good for them. i always laugh at the fans that are die hards or whatever you want to call themselves get upset over it or question them, hell the more the marrier every sport city is the same way and especially if the team doesnt do jack for 20-30 years! go toews and go hawks! win that cup and add another sioux to the stanley cup....ive found myself a blues/hawks/devils fan now only because of osh/jonny/z and zpar my true team is phoenix but who knows how long that will last if they stick around or not. go sioux
  11. he is a 2011, i posted article link in commited recruit thread
  12. good pick up for the sioux
  13. he played for roseau and if so then a very nice pick up.
  14. would love to hear that, dynamic smaller forward!
  15. If this is the last year with the beautiful sioux logo on their jerseys... how about winning #8 with a big middle finger at the same time to the ncaa with 18 thousand sioux fans celebrating at the X. Fighting sioux forever!!
  16. win a first round ncaa game then just 3 more easy wins would do it seriously this team will be very seasoned with only losing a couple forwards and nobody else that were factors on the ice. very small class coming in with two major D recruits in forbort and simpson. as of now its just rodwell coming in at forward and for sure one more forward will be coming if not two with dtoews leaving but im not sure if thats needed with frattin being a extra in a sense after they brought knight in when frattin took his leave. im sure we will know more about the forward/s after the draft i would guess. eidsness has been very very good for the sioux and i think he needs to take that extra step as all players need to do in the off season. trupp is a X factor to me, we have seen flashes of unbelievable plays from him so he has the skills and if he can put a 40 game seaosn together like we all think he can then that would be huge for the sioux. kristo, gregoire and frattin will be the big guns at forward. i can see 50 + points from all of them and as BIG mentioned that is needed. it will be interesting if kristo stays on the point on the pp with chay back as they either could be dynamic out there together or there simpy may not be enough room for their styles together on the blueline. i guess we never really saw danny down low on the pp especially after chay went down but i would guess he would be very effective wherever he plays. as a opposing player i would hate to be out there when malone, hextall and mario are on the ice because you know you better keep your head up and not take a split second off or you will pay in various ways. the sioux will have very good lines top to bottom, cant wait for the season and to see what type of make up this team will have! go sioux
  17. go hawks and go toews, what a joke the bruins ended up being after that debacle. the nhl has to want the hawks vs montreal as of now even though most of canada wouldnt care if they chopped montreal right off from their own country. at least toews will be able to do interviews in both english and french if they meet and show off even more skills does anyone know or have the list of former sioux to win the cup? without a doubt toews would be the youngest of that group if he is fortunate to win it all. go hawks!!
  18. They are brothers but I didnt realize they were so close apart. Guess the simpsons don't waste any time I golfed with a family friend of theirs in az before I moved back to minny and he said the the younger bro is a solid player as well.craig their dad played at mich state.
  19. i bet those shootouts at the end of each sioux practice were just filthy with osh and the golden boy. feel bad for jpl and others way to go osh!!
  20. Exactly. They didn't steal him from minny by any means.Good land for Dean!
  21. usa loses 3-2 to finland. oshie with shorthanded goal in the loss. that should eliminate usa from medal round. has to be very disapointing for usa hockey as a whole after such great wjt and olympic showings
  22. tj oshie 1 assist in iihf world championships tuneup exh game vs france
  23. it does make you wonder when he was said to be the #1 pick. thats big time if so. he is in the ushl, we have seen articles in the past mentioning north dakota or major juniors if i remember right. seems he will go the mj route from a few articles lately but who knows. ill agree with a few here and say he is a mj guy but would look great in green and white
  24. what type of player is tufte? nice list to have out there!
  25. i heard tj oshie and matt greene should be joining taylor chorney at the world championships! tj was cleared to play i believe after being a little banged up at the end of the season. go usa!! im sure parise would have a spot if he wanted to play but who knows what his plans are after that disapointing loss and also just being in the olympics usa roster news Goaltender: Scott Clemmensen (Florida) and Ben Bishop (Peoria) Defense: Johnson, Yandle, the Greenes, plus Matt Gilroy (New York Rangers), Jack Hillen (New York Islanders), Taylor Chorney (Edmonton) and Mike Lundin (Tampa Bay). Forwards: Kyle Okposo (New York Islanders), T.J. Oshie (St. Louis), Brandon Dubinsky (New York Rangers), Nick Foligno (Ottawa), T.J. Galiardi (Colorado), Ryan Carter (Anaheim), Eric Nystrom (Calgary), David Moss (Calgary), Christian Hanson (Toronto), Ryan Potulny (Edmonton), Tim Kennedy (Buffalo) and Chris Kreider (Boston College).
