So a team should be ranked on how good they would have possibly been in a world without injuries.

That they lack depth. NDSU was still able to make it to the national championship game without Wentz. Most fans on here would acknowledge that although we are getting better there's still room for improvement. Depth is very important in all sports and if one player makes or breaks your year you may not be that good yet.

This kind of reminds me of the Wisconsin series last year. We were supposed to roll over Wisco, but they came in and played us tough both nights. Hopefully the boys are ready to go.

I have to go to Alexandria for my niece's birthday after the kids get done with school. Hopefully the weather and roads are much better by then. I'd agree with that. I like Cole as a third line guy. Hard to play against with occasional offense. I know he's older so not sure if he'll ever be a top 6 guy.

I'd be happy with a split. A sweep seems very unlikely.

I think in a vacuum these are great moments for fans of both teams. At the end of the day (and I think you'd agree) winning a national championship is the ultimate goal for programs like North Dakota and Minnesota. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with the run we've been on recently, but I would of liked some more of those frozen fours to go our way. The Porter goal and the 0.6 game lose something for me personally with the let down of still ending the year with a loss. It's also different in the moment as opposed to looking back on these games years later. I'm probably rambling, but look at Golden State's season last year. I'm sure they would've been happy to lose 10 more games and win the title. It will also prevent them from being talked about as the GOAT because they didn't seal the deal.
