It'd be nice to see the offense get off to a fast start one of these games.

I missed the game because I was at work. Did the defense just get tired out in the second quarter or did they just have a bad quarter.

They bring loaded oil trains through Minneapolis, St Paul and Chicago. And at Casselton it was the west bound grain train that derailed and hit the east bound oil train.

It really didn't look like a exhibition game

I hope he can start the BGSU game the way he was playing towards the end of the Stony Brook game. If Studs starts off well I'll feel better about our chances. The weather may be a factor as well.

I was curious about Dulin as well.

My mistake thought it was 3-3-5, but I guess the question remains wouldn't they be better off going 4-3 vs our run game.

Do people think BGSU will play the 3-3-5 vs us. We are a run first team and not a threat to spread them out and throw the ball all over the field.

I don't think people are throwing in the towel after one game. (most people anyway) It's just what we had hoped to see the first game of the year wasn't what we actually saw. The expectations people had for this team going into the year are an indication that people want to get excited about football again. It's going to take wins and playoff games to get everyone on board again.

It's the bend, but don't break style. I think the corners should be up on the receivers as well. I do think we'd notice some growing pains with the cbs up on the line vs the wrs, but in the long run I think it would help.

Reminds me of how the vikings used to play defense.

Seems like a steep price to pay for a injury prone guy who wanted out of Philly anyway. Hope it works out. I thought the vikings were contenders this season if TB had shown some improvement from last season.

I realize we probably need 8 wins to get in the playoffs, but let's give this team a chance. Everyone says how much they like the coaching (until we lose) so if the coaches are good we will get better week to week and those 8 wins are still out there for us to get. Not excited after tonight, but I will remain optimistic for at least a few more weeks to early to call the season a waste. (If this post sounds stupid I have been drinking for a while today, but you get the point.)

I'm going to agree with you. They'll get better and I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like this year.

It's hard to get excited about this team watching this offense. Being it's the first game I'm going to remain optimistic for now. Can only get better from here.

Like everyone here I was hoping for improved secondary play. Maybe they'll improve as the season goes on.
