No, not according to the best info I've found. The coaches fully expected him to arrive on campus in the summer/fall of 2021. Even had equipment with his name on it.

A successful program can do both things: develop freshman talent and use the portal (not often but strategically).

We need to get Park River trending on Twitter. <checks phone, no Twitter> -

Goaltending and defense might take some time to round into shape, but UND should have a terrific group of forwards to build around.
-
IIRC, UND's number of regulation wins at home against ranked teams this season: zero. Please correct me if I'm in error.
-
This. IMO, we have to be willing to take some lumps as we develop talent.

Now that would be ballsy. -

And in the contest that everyone really cares about, UND looks to be a lock for 59th place in team save percentage, which currently sits at .880%. But could a string of strong goaltending performances see UND moving past Dartmouth (.884%) for 58th place? Could a few terrible outings result in UND dropping below Princeton (.877%) for 60th place, or even below Air Force (.875%) for 61st (i.e., last) place? What will happen? Where will UND end up? Only time will tell, so stay tuned! -
You're right. I guess I meant that in a more limited role, that line could be an effective line.
-
In that role--as a shutdown 4th line--Senden, Hain, and Jammer would be terrific, IMO.

If anyone happens to be driving through PR (Park River) this weekend, please confirm that @Goonis enjoying his vacation! -
I was thinking more about next year.

I believe UND has 30 points. The NCHC site is currently incorrect.

This team will not win any tournament of significance with #4 on the roster.
-
Agree this is super puzzling. Especially now that Karl is on the coaching staff. But even aside from Karl, it's my understanding that every competitive hockey team needs at least one, and preferably two, competent goalies. How is our goalie pipeline essentially non-existent?
-
I hope not.

Give each coaching regime 2-3 years to win a championship. If no natty, then fire the whole crew. I mean, it’s worked for teams like the Cleveland Browns.

Question about junior hockey: Is the BCHL considered to be a step below the USHL? If so, is the BCHL considered to be equivalent to the NAHL?
-
Please, this.

My heart is on the over. My brain is on the under.

UNO is currently in second place in the NCHC, 16th in the PWR. I've got to tip my hat to the Mavs; they've had an impressive showing this season. My uneducated impression is that they aren't elite at any one particular thing but also have no glaring weaknesses. The exact opposite of UND perhaps?

Even worse, UND has scored only four goals in its past three games (2, 2, and 0). Yet, considering the season in totality, I would argue that keeping the puck out of the net has been a much bigger problem. National rank in G/G: 12. National rank in GA/G: 31. National rank in SV%: 59. -
Dear Tyler, thank you for putting this game out of its misery. Sincerely, Literally Everybody
