  1. Calm down a bit haha, I think you’re putting words into my mouth here. Obviously we don’t want to recruit like 10 years ago. Clive is an anomaly in the Bubba era, where I feel they went and got a transfer that was a playmaker. Due to injuries, it didn’t work out as good as it should have. It will be more common place to get the right guys in the new era of UND football. Agreed that at least 2 WR’s that are game changers need to be brought in. The coaches realize that.
  2. If they hit on a Clive Georges like player that will go a long way.
  3. The missed XP hurt and can’t keep happening, but there were so many more things in that game that contributed to that loss when looking back
  4. With the past regime, it was usually the whole team that regressed. This year the defense did not regress, and when it struggled at the end it was due to depth and injuries. The offense did regress though and obviously needs to be addressed. Although we were playing better defenses which played a part in it as well.
  5. Montana is a way better team now then when we played them, but crazy how we controlled most of that game and then pissed it away. In the current FCS landscape, we are closer than most think.
  6. Perfect! Was actually going to ask if you could do so
  7. Freuchte
  8. Agreed, but it’s also too early to make any judgement about next years roster. Once we see what we bring in from the portal it’ll be interesting to evaluate the roster.
  9. Definitely possible. Unless he goes as QB coach
  10. Assuming it was announced at end of year press conference, which is on a Monday

Marcus Freeman > Brian Kelly. These Notre Dams teams now match up and compete with the best in college football now.
  12. Kostich has been 3 for 3 on long snappers in his time here. Let’s hope he hits on the next one too, it’s so nice not to have to worry about bad snaps.
  13. And then bring in a real QB coach… Wouldn’t mind that at all
  14. I would remove WR from maybe. We need a playmaker in that room. You could tell by the end of the year how little defenses respected their ability to create separation and get open.
  15. Figured this topic warranted it’s own thread. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/und-football-transfer-portal-tracker-for-2025-26?fbclid=IwdGRleAOv1ZFleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeo0TRdUxKOpwk81eVSWrSh3zs-gPM7qfFT_ePHAYtG-vBzh9tvJv2ZT6S17I_aem_hOKm104pPhLyljySRd-PoQ OUT RB Sawyer Seidl (Wake Forest) DL Emmanuel Olagbaju (UCONN) DB Antonio Bluiett (grad) WR BJ Fleming QB Etienne Higgins OL Kuba Tyszka RB Randle Parker DB Idrique Carmichael K CJ Elrichs TE Karter Peterson (Murray St) WR Seth Staloch (MSUM) OL Nick Darling OL Jonah Reiling (Wartburg College) In LB Jake Starcevic (Army) S Marquis Edmond (VA St) RB Matt Lawson (ISUr) DB Mason Mcfarland (JUCO) DT Kefa Pereira (EIU) LB Mason Miller (ISU) DB Travis Hines II (JUCO) WR Maurice Densmore (Winona St) WR Caleb Goodloe (BGSU) S Avery Dixon (Upper Iowa) WR Madden Thorson (MSUM) WR Cameron Weir (WAZZU) DE Kylyn Macklin (Albany)
  16. Are we still searching for a 12th game for next year? Any rumors to what that could be?
  17. True. Probably shouldn’t have even engaged with it
  18. I really feel that Freuchte and Olson being forced to be on his coaching staff is untrue. I guess it’s speculation both ways and we will never know what actually happened. I just have a really hard time believing that Schmidt didn’t have 100% say. If he met with him and it didn’t feel like a good fit, you really think Chaves said they had to stay? Very unlikely. Schmidt probably knew that the current offensive players really like Freuchte. After meeting with him, he decided to give it a shot for a sake of continuity and thought they could work well together.
  19. Defending well today
  20. Schmidt quote in the Herald "I think that's the difference. Early in the season, you didn't know where the ball was going. We had tight ends catching balls, running backs catching balls. As the season went along, we got a little more ... I don't want to say predictable ... but we kind of lost a little of our identity."
  21. Unreal considering how well he played last week and against SDSU after Fleming went out
  22. Wiltshire was a Juco guy, could he come back?
  23. It has been said here many times already, but the biggest problem was the play calling on critical downs. How many times did that QB lead play not work in short yardage? How many times on 3rd and 4th and medium did we throw a low percentage deep ball? It also got a little predictable as the year went along. There are some personnel decisions that make no sense as well. Mainly, Ziebarth usage. Can’t believe he couldn’t find a way to get Fleming and Deng on the field together more. Xavier Leigh broke camp as RB1 somehow and got way too much run right away. And then he completely disappears, I think he was still valuable as a 3rd down back.

  25. I wonder if Polasek to Washington State is a possibility
