I don't think they're expected to in general. they got some first place votes. I think they will because their three best players are gone and they only have one returner who had a usage rate over 20 percent last year, so they don't really natural choices to take the scoring lead. Also of note, Tray Buchanan looks like he might be one of their better players and if you remember he didn't exactly light the world on fire here.

I'm going 1. NDSU 2. USD 3. Omaha 4. UND 5. Oral Roberts 6. Ft Wayne 7. WIU 8. SDSU 9. Denver I am least confident in the 3-5 spots

Probably has to be Urbonavicius. Both because we are in need of big men and also because he’s probably furthest along given his FIBA experience. He might end up having more of an impact than Allen-Eikens to be honest

Tough to win a lot of games when your quarterback and both lines aren’t very good.
-
gotta say, that would have been a great nickname
-
a lot hinges on how well stewart plays IMO. if he is a good summit level point guard i think they can finish top 3 or so. i think the expectation should be top half
-
i bet there are 0 rotation players in college basketball who shoot 50 percent on jumpers
-
tough to tell from a highlight reel obviously but he doesn't look like he's half the athlete huff was (i assume that is who is being alluded to)
-
doesn't look super explosive but guess he will get more explosive now that he's concentrating solely on basketball. if nothing else he looks like he will be a good catch and shoot guy

fair point on the cost of recruiting but you'd be surprised how much recruiting of kids from europe is done via word of mouth. i think being able to establish a pipeline (or even a scenario where you get the benefit of the doubt from kids over there) can give them a huge leg up on schools in the conference.

i think you're all selling jal short. he didnt look ready for D1 ball but once he adds some muscle i think he will be a solid contributor wherever he goes
-
everyone everywhere does it (just look at clemson last year). i don't think it's anything worth filling your diaper over
-
there's a key word in there as to why that is unfortunately
-
I'm relatively sure he was interested
-
I'll preface this by saying I'm not 100% but a couple people have told me Sather
-
i heard a different name from boschee. trying to get a second person to confirm
-
i think you only have to release the people who pass the requirements of the position, so you'd avoid all of that assuming you tailored the listing properly
-
theoretically they could just release the name of everyone who applied to avoid having to list the finalists i suppose.
-
seems weird that they would name finalists rather than just naming who they hire
-
well 1. feel free to show a link or some evidence 2. sounds like your beef should be with the city of new york and not the alerus or anything in ND or "all these fake lawsuits" in general
-
i am also curious why you think there are "all these stupid fake lawsuits." that just isn't based in reality (in north dakota anyway. i can't speak to out of state). also if there truly is a frivolous lawsuit, the person suing could have to pay attorney fees to the other side, which is a pretty good deterrent.
-
no inside knowledge or anything but just based on reading around and talking to a couple people it sounds like Boschee and Herbst will be among the finalists. Hoping McCollum will as well but I haven't heard much about that.
-
well the same goes for say homeowner insurance or insurance a business would have. anyway, i think you're arguing for the way things ought to be whereas i am saying how things are, so nevermind.
-
i don't think you're following what i am saying. say you're driving your car and get into an accident and get sued. your car insurance carrier is going to hire an attorney and also pay out whatever they settle for or get at trial, so you're not paying the premium (which you have to do to be able to have a car) and the costs of the lawsuit.
-
most of the time they cost an insurance carrier money
