Just watched highlights of usd beating weber. Its pretty apparent that their qb prefers running not passing. It comes across as almost uncomfortable watching him throw. Even though he had 3 or 4 tds passing it was set up by his play action and his running ability. Und needs to make him one dimensional and earn it! Contain the run and make him beat you with his arm. Unds agressive 3-4 d has the speed on the edges to contain and the aggressiveness in the trenches to bother. Do not let him beat you with his legs and und will be fine. Santiago 220 yards

Regardless of talent, record, coach or conference this game is always competive and close and I'm expecting the same this weekend. They will not drop 40 points or have more then 150 yards rushing. As I noted earlier their run d is giving up 294.0 ypg at 7.1 ave. Unds offense should have a field day, sustaining long drives and dominate the T.O.P. Early prediction stat line for usd: 42 carries 123 yards 1 td and 220 yards and 1- 2tds through the air 17-27 points

Defensively speaking, is usd a 4-3 or 3-4 and how many returning starters? I see they are having a brutal time stopping the run in the first two games against so so competition : 83 carries 588 yards 7.1 ave and 5 tds. Bubba must be loving it!!! Santiago and brady all day!!!!

He will be missed, a 6'4" 290 de that is active. We have mentioned all year that the d line is deep and talented and that they are. Its not so much of a lose as say cole Reyes would be in he secondary but wish we had him and hope he makes it back this year. Also, I'm so sick and tired of hearing about the physical style of football that the mvfc runs because this is the exact style of football und runs. I thought they (mvfc) had defense as well, I guessd wrong. E wash lit up ndsu in the fargo dome for almost 600 yards and 44 points. Montana went to uni and said thank you. The two best in their league. Sdsu couldn't really contain drake defensively but won chucking it to weineke. If South Dakota thinks they are coming here to show us the ground and pound game , think again.

Personally I love the fact that bubba went for the "W". Kudos! The odds of beating a home team in OT is slim, momentum or not.

Und shut down the little shifty guy from Bgsu, but yes, they are more likely to shut down the opposing big back more so then the shifty guy. They now have speed at de and OLB to compensate that Unds strength is against the run. South Dakota might have a decent one-two punch and surely they will get some yards, just can't envision und letting any team in the nation getting 200 yards. Team to the south last year had 42 car 115 yards 2.7 ave zero tds. Plain and simple und shuts down the run.

^^^ this hard to point blame but the 1st half of both games the offense has been brutal. Keaton's 1st half play to 2nd half play are night and day. Need a complete game from him. Und needs the offense to sustain drives to give the d a little rest. Rudolph, for me personally, takes the majority of the blame as it's the same 3 plays every time then punt. I'm about to come out of my skin on advocating the usage of out TEs. They need to be used in this style of offense! I've been screaming for it for 3 years. They were moving down the field with Fiedler last week on the last drive, why not more of those plays in the first half?

They are literally 5 points away from being undefeated. One dropped pass and one punt clocked td. Unfortunate circumstances! This team is talented and I believe the second half of Bgsu proved it. Und shut them down! Bgsu looked like the fcs team not und. Und just dug a big hole in the first half. Also, going for two shows me that bubba wants to win. Love the call! Didn't work out but usually settling for OT in an away game doesn't end well. Kudos to the coaching staff

No way anyone from usd sniffs 100 yrds. With a good crowd behind our d, I look for the defense to be a full time menace against usd. Keaton will put it together a full game, santiago will have his first 200 yard game of the year and toivonen will have 2 tds.

Im not saying he isn't the right guy, I should have stated the jeckl and Hyde aspect. Poor first halves and good second halves. Looking for a full game and believe it starts next week.

Just got back from vacation and watched the game. Absolutely love the d. Secondary stepped up today. Truly believe und is becoming one of the best d in the fcs. Front 7 is sick and the secondary just needs to keep improving every week. Keaton????? Not sure what to think offensive play calling is questionable at best O line not quite there yet bubba demands discipline and focus-way to many penalties Donnell Rodgers is going to be special Does Rudolph realize we have te's ? Hunt looks more comfortable Honestly feel we should be 2-0. First home game next week!!! Can't wait!!! Beat the sh@$ out of the coyotes.

Any idea if mercer traveled to stony?? His hammy was bugging him in fall practice not sure if he made the trip. If he didn't I would have to think it would be him. This is a great opportunity for dulin to show what he has and what he is capable of.

I agree, the o line still needs some work but the talent is there. Still very raw. Demon is a talented young man that is more then capable on being a very good guard for und. Prove it this week. Bgsu is an fbs team that should have better talent then most of the teams we play, including their front 7, or I should say front 6 in their case as they implement 5 dbs, but will not be better then stonys front 7. Bgsu two LBs are very very good and one looks like an absolute stud. Looking for Und to get push, how much is yet to be determined, but the results should be much improved. I would really like to see und utilize the te's more. It's a nice compliment to a run first style of offense.
