Correct. Having depth, not everyone can be listed in two deep. Regardless, he will be playing a lot!!
-
Mercer has a bad hammy. Haven't been impressed with alex I thought Chris carter was looking really good in fall ball as well.
-
Sounds like a great guy and a great leader!
-
I like tyler coynes version better from what I heard at practice!
-
A song that everyone loves to sing along with and would be great for a timeout is: sweet Caroline!!
-
Insecurities speak the loudest and it sure seems like the fans to the south are loud about und.

Songs for 3rd downs or whenever: entrance song- ramm stein - du hast- repeat only the first 25 secs- no vocals Metallica- enter sandman - for sure! ? buck cherry - lit- maybe just the music as the lyrics a bit harsh for the young'ns dmx- party up- first 25 seconds ish- need to involve the students also for students I think there is a song out currently that's called welcome to my house or something close to that. I guess that seems fitting for the young crowd to sing at a football game ? stones- start me up- older classic Beatles - twist and shout-ditto quiet riot- cum on feel the noise- can't remember if this currently is on their play list I think that's a decent variety ?

Exactly! Depth is crucial!

Not sure on your question. Are you asking if they DID start at their positions from game one last year or WILL they start game one at their position this year. Yes they started from game one at their position last year and if it's the latter, going off what I saw in practice, my guess would be that they both look healthy and ready to be the starters. Palmborg however is looking really good at the safety position, so he mightily a jump over zach? I think we'll leave it up to the coaches however.

I would assume cloyd and holm will be mentioned shortly. Cloyd might have a tougher time on his shirt being pulled as there is depth at the te, but he does have talent and is built like a 5th year senior. He would obviously be ready if called upon. Where as holm will be on the two deep and will play significant minutes immediately The three practices I've attended, toivonen was the top targeted wr with all 3 qbs. He is a big fluid hands-of-glue freshman. Again, has a 5th year senior body.

Appreciate the insight from some Stony fans. Fun to hear their side. Im expecting a very physical game, these are the kinds of games I love!!! Old style smash mouth, who's the baddest ass team on the field kind of game. However, if stony is able to pass effectually, this game could turn out to a little higher scoring game then originally thought. Just don't see it happening though. They mentioned they have some nice talent at the wr position but have question marks at qb. If they get away from the run game and start passing we will need the front seven to get pressure. I think this is where our speed on the ends will come into play. Jawon, jake, bennett, dranka and noah could collectively be the games MVPs. They will be on their qb like flies on sh@#! Those guys have an incredible first step and are extremely fast around the corner! Bubbas d is very aggressive and I wound have to think he feels very confident with the experience and talent he has up front on d. "Pin their ears back" Sticking with my prediction (17-13) as were playing on the road against a very good team. I unfortunately expect a lot of mistakes on both sides. Wish it was September 1st!!

The coverage by the local media has been great this year! " Hats off " to them!

17-13 und. Und will need a full game to work out all the cobwebs.
-
I really like that we play at stony to open the season for many reasons: 1. Stony is a average to very good opponent that plays in a pretty competitive league (CAA). 2. Playing away the first game gives the guys, namely newcomers and rookies that away time to bond with teammates. They're not able to run to their dorm or apartment. I loved that first away game....many many memories!! Your not as "tight" then if you were to open at home. Could just me I guess? 3. Their style of play, plays right into our mojo! Unds main concern possibly is the cb position and they get a game where they won't be tested as much as BGSU. Work out the cobwebs in this one. 4. Simply......it's a very winnable occ game on the road for the committee to take notice.

Congrats to brock boltmann, he is the preseason Kare 11 all metro qb selection!!!!
-
Upset???? Hmmm... Ok!? Und is currently favored. Stony is no slouch tho, plus it's their home opener so expect them to have a few more things go their way then und. The inexperienced o line will be heavily tested in this game as Stony has a stout d line, one of which is being closely watched by the nfl. I cannot vision either team scoring 20 points which bodes well for und with a grind out style and look for a game that whoever makes the least mistakes will likely win. Und 17-13

Daquan has quit the team per SFI. As much as I hate seeing guys quit, it's hard to blame him as he was buried in the depth charts. The DL is deep and young! He seems like a very likable guy that worked hard and wish him well to whatever might be next.
-
Welcome bryden! Not familiar with him.... not able to find any video on him either.
-
I would like to add that I thought toivonen looks like real deal. Each of the qbs seem to look his way first and most often. Indication that they are comfortable with him. Not a burner but a nice frame true fresh that looks willing to learn and puts in max effort every play. Great possession wr. Great addition

He's back!!! Thanks Teeder! They did look really rusty and out of sorts. cloyd could have a chance of starting. Seemed like he was in every play. It really is hard to believe he's only a true fresh, he's a big dude! Legs are like tree trunks. I was eyeing the cbs. Torrey and carter were first team and thought carter looked really good. Good coverage and collapsed on the run very hard. Torrey had some up and downs nothing special. Learning curve. He has unbelievable potential in the long run tho. Very fluid! As needed and as talented as Evan is, he needs to redshirt! He could not weigh more then 145 lbs. His jersey and pants just hang. Or it looks that way aways. Randolph is a very talented young man that is playing the wrong position...think he's better suited for qb. Deion didn't play but was fully padded up, which is encouraging. Bollant played just didn't notice him.

Yup, I agree My concerns : in no particular order. 1. If Keaton goes down, who's the next man up? Keaton is a must to remain healthy. A must!! 2. Wr. Outside of Clive, who is the guy that can keep defenses honest. He seems to be the only one with break away speed. With him in, the safeties job becomes more difficult and need to play off the ball a little bit more. This also helps the run game. I do like the depth we have here this year. Sure handed possession style bigger physical players. These new guys need to show they can get separation at the line to help keeping Keaton healthy. 3. Cb. Love the freshman guys but they are just that.....freshman. Deion needs to remain healthy. 4. Safety. Depth. If cole goes down....ouch! Also hoping arnells leg holds up! 5 ol depth. Love the starting 5 plus Aplin and miller but after that its basically all freshman and big question marks. One fresh that I wish was healthy is Helgren, he is one put-together massive guy. Think he might of had a chance to have his shirt pulled. So so concerns: 1. punting No concerns: 1. DE 2. Nose 3. RB 4. TE 5. K 6. LB 7. OLB 8. LS
-
No. He makes Keaton's job a lot easier. Qbs have .10 sec to view the field and find an open man and Seibel and Clive are able to get separation. If healthy he is NEEDED at wr!
-
Great news Teeder. Hope everything went well. I will definitely be there. I'm going to be watching the secondary with a fine eye as this position has me worried.

8:30 full pads. It will be a nice morning
