Thanks for the update. SFI reporting tyus is out now too. They mentioned they're a little concerned about it. Last years two starting cbs are currently injured. This postion just seems jinxed! Deion will be back as his is a hammy, although hammys occasionally have a tendency to linger all season, we'll see. Out of need, a ton of shirts are going to be pulled at that position. Randolph, holm and not sure if Torrey is considered a true fresh or not? Regardless, it seems like this position is always depending on a true freshman or newcomers to play significant minutes. This years class of freshman have some very nice talent, but obviously lack the experience needed to succeed. Hoping for no more injuries

The one thing with und is depth and/or quality depth. There are certain positional injuries ( like last year) that could be devastating: Cole, Keaton, Deion, Clive or any of the o line. Any one of those guys go down for any length of time, it could spell trouble! Had Keaton and cole not been injured at the same time last, und would of probably been 9-2. As easy as their schedule is, keeping healthy at these positions is very critical! If they remain relatively healthy they yes, 9-2 or 8-3!

I couldn't be more excited with the 5 verbals we already have, and it sounds like one more per Teeder. Super talented young men!! With that said, I was thinking we should of had a few more also at this juncture but have total faith in bubba and crew!

The local media coverage this year has been very good, seems they have stepped it up. Wdaz and the herald have done a lot to promote und football, hope they can continue to do so.

Good write up Teeder. I made out there today not really focusing on any group in particular but noticed mason bennett numerous times. His quickness is just incredible! Man, the d line is going to be deep and talented! When he is in the game and you add disterhuapt and say jawon at OLB.....wow for speed speed speed speed up front!! The und students better dust off the sack city sign as I believe the opposing qb could very well be laying on his back most of the game.

Does bresciana have any political background?? The way he threw Larsen under the bus indicates he has some political experience. The internal stabbing makes me smile!! God I love this!!!! This happening to ndsu is music to my ears!!! Bresciana and Larsen currently are my two favorite people.

I would like to add one more: Andre Randolph. A very talented young man! If his heart and head are into it, he could be very special.

Jahmere leaving hurts! Not only for depth but he looked unbelievable in spring ball. I had thought earlier he might start opposite of Deion . He definitely had the talent just lacked some social skills.

Santiago is very important, as can be said about every player! Its the lack of proven talent behind Keaton and cole that is the unknown. Arguably the qb is the most important postion in all of football. Being voted captain as a junior speaks volumes of Keaton's character and leadership. Had he been able to play (weber) and finish( idaho st), IMO, those would of been two more victories....9-2. Quality qb depth is a must!!! Last year we found out the hard way As with cole, being in a pass heavy league with a secondary that's suspect, he is a true talent that needs to be back there at all times. He was out basically the same time as Keaton last year and was dearly missed.

9-2 or 8-3. Adding to what geaux said, IMO, there are two musts: Keaton NEEDS to stay healthy. Very apparent what happens when he was down last year. Cole NEEDS to stay healthy. He is the Keaton on the D side.

Had Grady put forth the dedication he was on another planet. From what I could tell he never lifted a weight in his life, yet he was able to, as a true fresh, move d lineman at ease. When inserted to the lineup santiago excelled running behind him. His mobility and leverage was just incredible!! To be a difference maker as true fresh on the o line speaks for itself. Again, I bring up his hudl tape, 6'5" 290 playing LB and TE. He is/was a complete physical freak! He has now retired to the rez. RIP Grady

They still have talent just very inexperienced. To lose a talent like Grady hurts, hurts bad, but he has better things to do I guess. Time to focus on the guys we have here and that want to be here. Stony has some very capable d line and we will see what we are working with during that game. Stockwell, Bell, cox, taylor and it sounds like Coe are a formidable group and am crossing the fingers they mesh quickly. And you're right, games are won in the trenches. Very frustrating as a und fan that the guys that leave or are asked to leave the last couple years are some very talented young men. It's not like the guys that are leaving are are 4th stringers. Grady, JIS, iwarri, merz, meindel that I can think of. Two potential 1st team to 2nd all Americans in Grady and meindel an JIS was looking fantastic this spring. Merz had the talent to be a menace.

Unds style isn't necessarily set up to blow out teams. They could dominate a team like wyoming and the score looks much much closer then it should of been. Being the 3rd game of the year , hoping the o line will be "gelled" by then. I believe this is the game they gel !! South Dakota plays our style of game and we all know that und is fantastic against the run, additionally, und will have been tested by this style of play against stony brook. Und wins it's first home game.
