Can't remember the wrs name but when you lead the nation in passing yards there is a chance someone will return with decent numbers. Seems like he is 6'3" skinny burner? One thing und has going for them is they play ohio st the week before. letdown? I would guess so, going from ohio st to North Dakota.
-
Und can definitely beat them.
-
Loose almost the entire wr crew and most of the secondary. Return the most experienced o line in the nation however. Most total starts. I think that LB is Alvarez? Watched him a few times last year as a sophomore and he was impressive as was their massive d line.
-
Agreed. MAC isn't that good necessarily. However, I'm basing my conclusion on the little time the 5 up front have had together as a group and the fact they're home. I went back and forth with this one and truly believe und can win and won't be surprised if they do.

Fbs transfers : 1). Tillman - Houston- one year starter and currently playing cfl 2) Clive- Arizona- current senior. Should be the go to guy his year at wr. Showed some big potential last year and in spring ball 3) jordan- minnesota- Loved the way he played! Mean streak. Quit. 4) jahmere- miss st- played a lot of minutes last and looked real good in spring ball. Quit 5) baker- New Mexico- current sophomore. Played sparingly last year looking for more mins this year. 6) Arrington- uab- didn't play, injured 7) tucker?- Kansas- practiced for awhile then quit. fcs transfer : noah- sac st- current senior and a standout on d. Juco: 1) boas- had a very good 2 year career. 2) jawon- current senior and looks like a stud this spring. Could have a big year. 3). Arnell- current junior. Started last year and was cheap shotted out of his inaugural season early. 4) cerrintino- played a lot of mins at wr 5) reed- current senior wr. Injuries have derailed him 6)Simmons - rb that was injured 1st game. Quit 7). Domo- practiced for awhile then quit. 8) camy- quit 9) hannible- quit 10) Dijon- will be a junior this, hasn't played a down That's the ones I can think of

1-1 10344 17-10 W vs Stony ( Def, def, def and more d). 24-28 L vs bgsu ( bgsu gets a td under a min) Potato bowl: the o line finally starts to gel and the offense starts to click, additionally they get a nice 12th man for their first home game. beat the yotes 38-27

I'm excited as well! Especially with news that Grady is on the roster!! The o line, once they mesh, could potentially be one of the best in the fcs. Stockwell, Bell, Aplin, Grady and Taylor......wow!!!! Just wow!! Aplin in my only question mark here as I haven't seen him enough to know for sure what he has. Grady and demon on one side almost seems like cheating! Lol. Bubba has done an amazing job in 2-3 years. He knows the games are won in the trenches and has loaded up the o line and d line with talent!! Very young talented men with game time experience = exciting! If I had to nit pick one thing, it would be the lack of recruiting a proven qb that's scholarship worthy. Keaton obviously is good and fits the und mold but it became very apparent that when he was out it spells trouble. Bartles? Nope! Heidelbaugh? No clue? Playing in ND 9 man is quite different then d1. For many reasons I hope he is the answer. That's all we have. Unless out of dire necessity, I suppose mollberg could sneak back in there? They did bring in bolinkse as a pwo. A whole hell of a lot of questions marks there. I have always felt the most important position in football requires a minimum 4 schollys on the roster. To many unknowns happen during the course of the year and/or offseason. Keaton is a senior next year and Bartles is gone. They needed a scholarship qb in this years class. Add to that, there is only one on the radar so far for the "17" recruiting class.

DE is loaded! Noah improved every week last year. Actually thought he was the best DE at the end of the year. Leading the way are two juniors , Greeley and Dranka, that have started since they were true freshman. Cieslak has huge potential going into his Sophmore year. I could see carrothers moving to nose and making room for bennett. Bennett is going to be special. Had it not been for the injury he would of had his shirt pulled last year. Engwall plays with an attitude and has looked impressive the little I've seen of him. A lot of experience yet very young as only 2 seniors here. Tank anchors the line and now a sophomore he has some experience. Big boy that stuffs the middle. Difficult to block. Sophmore Greer played as a true freshman but never really noticed him. Both sophomores Love the OLB, they are extremely athletic and FAST!! Jawon, disterhuapt and labat. Labat will be in his 3rd year in the starting role. I'm thinking jawon will be most improved player on the team, the guy is a flat out baller!! A converted safety, he uses his speed terrifically adding that aggressive full tilt attitude and nature. I'm just as impressed with disterhuapt. Will love watching those two on the field at the same time. ILB scares me a bit. Not sure how tajs knee will be. If healthy he is a stud. O brien has experience and looked good last year as does Bakker, but not quite sold on them yet. Hearing good things on Rodgers. Just to many unknowns to feel comfortable here. Cb will still be very young but slowly gaining experience. There is definitely talent but they can not afford injuries. Deion will be in his 3rd year as starting cb and had 12 BU last year. Tyus is back as the other starter. I'm hearing he might not be full health yet? Lost JIS. Carter seems capable enough. The two true freshman, Torrey and Evan have serous talent and need to showcase immediately ! No seniors Cole needs to remain healthy.....stud stud stud! Palmborg played last year as a true fresh, gaining playing experience and looked fantastic in spring ball. Arnell started last year but I have a hunch palmborg slides into his starting role. Arnell is good, just hope he can come back from his injury. Vashon has some talent but unproven. No seniors grades: DE: A+ NOSE: C+ OLB: A ILB: B- CB: C S: B Bubba ball starts with the d and this year should be no exception.

Good for you. I think fans from "rival" schools have no business going to the rivals forum board that their team isn't involved in.

Very true. I like to talk a lot of shi$ and that's hard to do from the seats around families. During pre game warmup's is when I like to start chirping as it's quieter and the opposing team ears are full aware. They kinda remember you!! Lol. I might add that Adlers dad is/was a good time! Damnit I wish it was football season!!!!

When I think of noise I think of the 2001 season and what an absolute blast it was!! First year in the "AL" and fueled by a great team. You want home field advantage, we had it!! Noise!! Noise!! Noise!!! The playoff games that year were deafening! Obviously the team won the games but the "12th man"could tap themselves on the back as well. Numerous false starts and major confusion on the offensive players faces. No chance to audible. Recent years Ive been on the catwalk and it's even better as you are able to exchange pleasantries with the opposing team. I've been waved at numerous times with one finger. Once I know I'm under the skin...the turning begins!! Passing teams have a much more difficult time with the noise and being in the big sky (passing league) it would be a tremendous advantage to und to have the 12th man awoken! Every down....not just the 3rd down. And not only for the teams sake, its a major part of the equation on what makes the "atmosphere". With bubba at the helm and our first real expectation year since our move to d1, it would be great to see the fan support keep growing. So try and make a few games, grab a beer, cheer loud (12th man) and enjoy the hard work these young men and coaches have put in.

That's what I had heard, guess it's true then. I have complete faith in Torrey replacing him and replacing him quite admirably. Evans shirt will now obviously be pulled and will play significant mins. Young young young talent! Depth chart: two true juniors, 1 true soph and two true fresh. 5 years of experience between the 5. Please no injuries!

I'm hopeful it's a rumor. By no means am I " in the know", just passed down through a friend of mine. That's why I would take this with a grain of salt. Reason I even referred to this, and I apologize, is my earlier reference of using Randoplh as a qb instead of a db. Randoplh might be more needed at the postion he was recruited, db.
-
My feelings as well. Plus his hudl tape seems to showcase his comfort on offense. On the cb front......I hope what I've heard is not true and simply is a rumor. But if indeed it is, we will need cbs very desperately. We might need those freshman to grow up in a hurry, including Randolph.

I guess it would be how you define "steal". Just because they came to und doesn't mean they are a steal. Grady has nfl talent and the coaches were on him like flies on sh@#! That's why he was our first recruit that year. Santiago was our 3rd commit. The coaches obviously knew their talent level and were targeting them from the get go. To me that doesn't warrant "steal". Offering a kid a full scholarship doesn't warrant a "steal". Offers or not, those two ooze talent and a big congrats to the coaching staff for finding these athletes. A lot of time and effort was put into recruiting them and it paid off. Regardless if they are a steal or not, Bubba has been able to recruit the talent needed to make some noise. Sept 1st can't come fast enough.
-
Question is, who is it going to be or if there will be one at all. IMO a "steal" is a late commit as where an earlier commit is a "target " of the coaching staff. I have Randolph tagged with a "steal" being he was a very late addition. Evan holm is not a steal or like Grady or santiago were not "steals" the year before being the coaches were offering immediately. Nguan could be another one this year. Damnit I'm getting ramped up for football season !!!!
-
If I read the title correct, it's the top incoming freshman: 1. Torrey hunt: very special player with the athletic ability to be dominant at this level. Could very well start opposite of Deion. He is guaranteed to play next year. 2. Holm: I could see his shirt being pulled and playing significant minutes. He has been dedicated to und from day 1. 3. Randolph: crazy athletic and could be the steal of the class. I would love to see him as a qb more then a db however. 4. Nguyen : what the coaches have said about him have me excited and I trust the coaches word. 5. Cloyd: has the size and power already and will only get bigger, faster and stronger. Great competitor also.
-
That's where the game is won! cox, bell, taylor, Aplin, stockwell miller is a more than capable group. 8 out of 10 stars!! And hopefully Grady. Need time to gel as a group however. Small in numbers but big in talent!! B+ D line is deep and talented. Notnecessarily a "stud" amongst them but very talented! Bennet could be that "stud" per a couple of players that i have spoken to. The same guys mentioned jawon is one of the baddest asses on d and expect him to make a big impact. A. Can not wait for the season to begin!!
-
After a little research, it looks like unds first verbal in "15" was July 29th and "16" was July 24th, so I would expect a little less then a month we should get out first verbal. Bubba and crew are right on track!! In other other words, don't worry be happy.
-
Not good news. However, I have mentioned my man crush on Torrey hunt and truly believe he has all American potential. Und will be better served working with a talented freshman that has 4 more years over some 1 and done that obviously did not want to be here.
-
Still a hockey game that night, Duluth. Most everyone would be heading for the exits at 6 as the game is on at 7.
-
I stand corrected. All hockey. Bubba at least got a 4pm for the sd game. Und football have major issues to ever schedule night games. It will always be 1 unless hockey is on a bye or it's early in the season
-
Hockey.....minus the cal poly game
