He will be missed, a 6'4" 290 de that is active. We have mentioned all year that the d line is deep and talented and that they are. Its not so much of a lose as say cole Reyes would be in he secondary but wish we had him and hope he makes it back this year. Also, I'm so sick and tired of hearing about the physical style of football that the mvfc runs because this is the exact style of football und runs. I thought they (mvfc) had defense as well, I guessd wrong. E wash lit up ndsu in the fargo dome for almost 600 yards and 44 points. Montana went to uni and said thank you. The two best in their league. Sdsu couldn't really contain drake defensively but won chucking it to weineke. If South Dakota thinks they are coming here to show us the ground and pound game , think again.

Nobody can run on Unds d. If their offense is built to run, then they are in trouble. Unds first home game and the o line getting better I see santiago being huge along with oliveira. 31-17 und

Personally I love the fact that bubba went for the "W". Kudos! The odds of beating a home team in OT is slim, momentum or not.

Und shut down the little shifty guy from Bgsu, but yes, they are more likely to shut down the opposing big back more so then the shifty guy. They now have speed at de and OLB to compensate that Unds strength is against the run. South Dakota might have a decent one-two punch and surely they will get some yards, just can't envision und letting any team in the nation getting 200 yards. Team to the south last year had 42 car 115 yards 2.7 ave zero tds. Plain and simple und shuts down the run.

^^^ this hard to point blame but the 1st half of both games the offense has been brutal. Keaton's 1st half play to 2nd half play are night and day. Need a complete game from him. Und needs the offense to sustain drives to give the d a little rest. Rudolph, for me personally, takes the majority of the blame as it's the same 3 plays every time then punt. I'm about to come out of my skin on advocating the usage of out TEs. They need to be used in this style of offense! I've been screaming for it for 3 years. They were moving down the field with Fiedler last week on the last drive, why not more of those plays in the first half?

I checked out when I read that Reyes was overrated. Wow!!!

They are literally 5 points away from being undefeated. One dropped pass and one punt clocked td. Unfortunate circumstances! This team is talented and I believe the second half of Bgsu proved it. Und shut them down! Bgsu looked like the fcs team not und. Und just dug a big hole in the first half. Also, going for two shows me that bubba wants to win. Love the call! Didn't work out but usually settling for OT in an away game doesn't end well. Kudos to the coaching staff

No way anyone from usd sniffs 100 yrds. With a good crowd behind our d, I look for the defense to be a full time menace against usd. Keaton will put it together a full game, santiago will have his first 200 yard game of the year and toivonen will have 2 tds.

Im not saying he isn't the right guy, I should have stated the jeckl and Hyde aspect. Poor first halves and good second halves. Looking for a full game and believe it starts next week.

Just got back from vacation and watched the game. Absolutely love the d. Secondary stepped up today. Truly believe und is becoming one of the best d in the fcs. Front 7 is sick and the secondary just needs to keep improving every week. Keaton????? Not sure what to think offensive play calling is questionable at best O line not quite there yet bubba demands discipline and focus-way to many penalties Donnell Rodgers is going to be special Does Rudolph realize we have te's ? Hunt looks more comfortable Honestly feel we should be 2-0. First home game next week!!! Can't wait!!! Beat the sh@$ out of the coyotes.

Any idea if mercer traveled to stony?? His hammy was bugging him in fall practice not sure if he made the trip. If he didn't I would have to think it would be him. This is a great opportunity for dulin to show what he has and what he is capable of.

I agree, the o line still needs some work but the talent is there. Still very raw. Demon is a talented young man that is more then capable on being a very good guard for und. Prove it this week. Bgsu is an fbs team that should have better talent then most of the teams we play, including their front 7, or I should say front 6 in their case as they implement 5 dbs, but will not be better then stonys front 7. Bgsu two LBs are very very good and one looks like an absolute stud. Looking for Und to get push, how much is yet to be determined, but the results should be much improved. I would really like to see und utilize the te's more. It's a nice compliment to a run first style of offense.

Just visited Bgsu forum and they have mentioned numerous times the only bright spot has been their experienced hogs have kept their qb clean. If ohio st is having issues to get penetration or any kind of pass rush, our front 7 are going to have their hands full. It's an absolute must that the front 7 gets in to disrupt the qb so he doesn't have all day I pick our cbs apart.

Still super excited about this season. Last night was just an unfortunate glitch. Unds run d is just crazy good, take away that 24 yrd run, stony was 33 car 38 yards!! This is a run first, second, third, fourth kinda team and und stuffed them!! Huge props!! Complete d line are all Americans!! O line will be fine after facing their hardest task. Plus they see our d line every practice. The starting 5 are talented giants Keaton will get his mojo back cole is an all American santiago is an all American cbs need to shore things up, hope to see improvement .....quickly!! biggest concern is that there is no home run threat to take it to the house at wr. Even though und doesn't play that style of game you need some speed on the outside that will keep defenses honest. They will now stack the box every game and dare santiago to beat them. Odds are he will more often then not . They used Clive perfectly at the end of last year and the results were incredible for the offense.

I agree about the o line.....not good but bad. Have to consider who they were playing. I feel stony has the best d in the fcs. Especially the front four. I was barraged with backlash last night and the fact the team to south has a better d. While the team to the south have a great d they have the more complete team and that's why they have accomplished what they have. Actually they have more talent on offense then d. Stony has zero offense or special teams. My crystal ball says stony will finish 6-5 5-6. Und will not see a front four like that all season and the Unds four newcomers were thrown into the fire. Game one is done Bgsu won't be as complete as stony up front on d. I look for the hogs, with one game under their belts, to be able to get better push. Keaton needs to settle himself. He is a must for und to be victorious. Terrible performance by him last night Losing Clive is brutal! Unds only wr with break away speed. Makes the opposing teams safeties and cbs job a lot easier, no need for "cushion". Play tight on our possession wrs and contain the run. Feel horrible for Clive! Unds front 7 will be challenged more against Bgsu as they return a ton of experience on their o line. They will have some success however just not as much as usual. Tyus is going be picked on all night. He wasn't good last night against stony and stony is bad passing team. Cole, please be healthy!!!!! Und has a chance, just need a few things to fall into place, namely getting Studsrud to settle

He had a VERY bad performance. Horrible!! Not sure if it was nerves, stonys d, not in sync with wrs/te's, if he was injured or all the above????? He is a captain and a leader of the team.......he will no doubt get it corrected. Losing Clive is tremendous as he looked clives way much of the time and that fact he could get separation I have mentioned this since last season that und needs wrs that get separation at the line to make Keatons job a lot easier. Seibel was/is fantastic at it. There is no question Keaton will step it up against Bgsu
