I don't think it's an act. I generally like him as a coach, interviewee and face of the program. But I'm also a city dweller, and his pace, tone, etc. don't match mine, shall we say. He seems genuine to me, and if you dig through my posting history this is the closest I've come to criticizing him. Just wish he was a little more intense. Not PJ Fleck intense, just....moreso.

Berry's gee shucks persona is not my favorite, and I would wager it costs us recruits, but him staying calm as it transpired hopefully keeps that possibility alive.

Honestly, let's just hope the staff and Spicer remain on good terms and he can transfer in with ease. Struggles but adapts as a freshman, breaks out So or Jr year, and comes home.

If they were telling him up until recently he was coming in, that was definitely a mistake on their part. You're as dialed in to recruiting as anyone on this board, so if you say that's the case I believe it. He needs to do what is best for him, hopefully he isn't making career-impacting decisions out of spite. It's likely that he was considered a low flight risk as a local. Will be interesting to see the reception he receives if he ever plays at the Ralph

Lindenwood is right near the airport with a good arena for hosting tournaments, ans further demonstrates the viability of college teams using practice facilities. Vanderbilt, SJSU, NJIT and anything else in immediate proximity of them. And of course, ASU hosting an NHL team...

Regarding Calder: easy come, easy go. We've seen quite a few transfers re-enter the portal after one year. Jandric's brother, Bo Hanson, Slava Demin, Dylan St. Cyr, Grant Loven, and these are just off the top of my head. Once you cross a line, it's less daunting to do it again, and considering how much a majority of hockey players move, travel and change teams growing up, it's not a big deal for them.
