At least Bubba Schweigert was younger than Dane Jackson when he was hired to be the head coach. Both got the positions because of the UND connection, Over younger, rising stars (chippahs) with more hunger and drive. Dane, like Berry, now has to learn to run the entire program. As both had never really been a head coach of anything before (unless you count Dane replacing the one coach who died during the season). Hakstol and Blais, had head coaching experience and were "young"...not hard to see a clear pattern of key ingredients that separate these two groups: Berry, Dane Hakstol, Blais

Whomever Dane hires as his assistants better be good because we all know one will be the next UND head coach in a few years after Dane is gone.

Absolute bonkers they'd choose Dane Jackson over Nick Fohr! This was the exact same as the Bubba hire over Kalen Deboer!

Just like when Eric Schmidt was hired..... You can sit on SiouxSports and know who was gonna be hired days ago!

And the rest of the prayers musta handled it poorly and let it affect their performance.

Dane and Herter are like the same guy. Same age. Same college. Both perpetual assistant coaches.

So Hakstol thought Berry would be a better head coach than Dane. and then Berry pretty clearly in his letter didn't want Dane to be head coach. Then UND hired Dane to be the head coach!

And the Gophers even got to play theirs at home! Still couldn't catch UND for playoff wins this year!

UND and the Gophers have the same amount of NCAA tournament wins this year.

I love how not getting a penalty is the reason your goalie let a puck get past him! Like those two things aren't even closely related.

Fine... i'll be truthful. Moztko looks pretty good for being 64. And has also done a good job coaching the Gophers.

Sorry to hear about his personal tragedy from four years ago. But not sure what that has to do with anything today, coaching the Minnesota Gophers hockey program to a loss. And then joking about Walz and Motzko being losers (because they both Lost). Can you fill me in how to respectfully make fun of him for losing?
