George Straight was 20,000. Cher was 19,000. The Metallica concert is already a success for tickets sold and will likely be in the Alerus Centers top 5 largest acts.

Because the comedian Jim Breuer will be opening for Metallica, he is having a comedy show at the Chester Fritz tomorrow (Friday) for anyone interested. The events at Chester Fritz don't seem to get very much publicity.

There was no bar. The only change was, Instead of a mobile generic beer cart, they built a more durable custom, just slightly larger, beer cart.

Washington will probably start from about the 35 yard line on average, if UND gets a chance to kickoff...

The "catwalk bar" turned out to be a big nothingburger.

The new concourse lights were a nice touch. Same with the roped off areas for the concession stands.

Unsung hero of the new upgrades is the freshly installed cell towers in the Alerus parking lot. Cell reception is great. Now I can sit on SS during the game.

The Wilkerson parking lot is adjacent to the building right off University Ave.

Just came from EGF over the river and turning right on 3rd Street to go towards Toasted Frog. I was first at the red light. Thanks to the bumpouts and all the pedestrians crossing the street, I wasn't able to turn right for about a minute holding up all traffic behind me. While Columbia Road is adding turn lanes to ease traffic, downtown is taking them away to increase it.

Same could be said with lots of newspapers around the country. Including the Minot Daily and Bismarck Tribune.

But at least they'll change their name to the Valley Forum to accurately describe their new market....or maybe rename Grand Forks to Grand Fargo. With the Forum recently selling the Herald building, I can see them wanting the staff to work from home or Fargo in the not-to-distant future.
