  1. So to have a good year they need to have something bad happen the prior?
  2. Salcido Slavin x 2 Sterling Stoykewych Sweatt x 2 ... pain in the S ...
  3. So play them conference and non-conference. Creating a more insular schedule which hurts come ratings calcs and tourney times. We know why you're not the AD, ... thankfully.
  4. nor are all the options that may become available.
  5. UND is going down the Alston Award (701 Fund) path. It's not "doing nothing". And nothing stops some brave souls here from setting up their own collective to dole out dollars.
  6. Don't know, but there is space out there.
  7. This.
  8. That's how Davies got good fast. Nearly all the South players lived below 32nd Ave in Fargo before Davies happened. They fell into Davies territory. South was left scrambling for players and thus the dawn of South-Shanley. I don't see that happening with Sheyenne when Horace decides to add hockey however. The hockey kids live in Osgood subdivision (closer to Sheyenne) than Horace, at least for now.
  9. You're outside my 501(c)3 charity donation scenario with that.
  10. No. Orange. Cats. Seems all the more appropriate this week with the CC ... Tigers ... coming in.
  11. College sports is on an unsustainable path. Schools cutting down to what their base supports and can fund, and nothing more, is a real potential outcome of this trajectory.
  12. One major difference? The IRS says NIL collectives are not 501(c)3 charities. You may not tax deduct donations to an NIL. You may tax deduct donations to the UND AA&F for the 701 Fund.
  13. I assign it no status, neither bad nor good, just reality of our making.
  14. It'll be haves (power 50 or so) and the rest.
  15. Chaves got Alston Awards (701 Fund) up and going. That all a school administrator can do. They can't be associated with a NIL collective.
  16. They're not wrong.
  17. NIL collectives must be separate from the school. Period. An NIL is a private group hiring a spokesperson or "local face" to pimp their product. Nothing more.
  18. Historically CC has been a pain in the S ... Swanson, the Schwartz brothers, the Stewart brothers.
  19. Which one, ... or is it all-inclusive.
  20. Gino lived by the mantra: Win at home, split on the road. It's the benchmark I monitor.
  21. FCS (and the G5) are now the minor or developmental league for the power schools. That's not defeatist; it's reality. If the Texas hook-'em-horns want your NG they're getting your NG.
  22. To my eye, three guys going elsewhere with their Covid year, two guys who seldom saw the field, a guy who's done with his degree (as a junior!), and Ocansey. It ain't tOSU losing an 11-1 as a starter QB, but thank you for your interest in North Dakota Athletics.
  23. 1. I wish your venture well; however, I suspect its demise is more likely. I will be contributing directly to UND (for the tax implications) per usual. 2. I can argue "success" either way. Three quarters of FCS would trade with UND in a heartbeat. But measured against the xDSUs it's not enough. Conundrum. 3. Never trust an orange cat. One flooded a sibling's house. Not kidding. Tuxedo is the way to go.
  24. Last five 'yotes games (all wins): VGK, TBL, COL, STL, WAS. Who'd they PO in the scheduler's office?
