  1. Why do I just know that in the regular season one of those two touchdowns would've been overturned? #WhatIsACatch
  2. Does the NFL have a site comparable to the gold-standard* of sport contract watching? *If you don't know about CapFriendly and like to follow hockey contracts you're missing out.
  3. Stafford wouldn't be a bad option, but Stafford just recently signed a poison-pill contract. Nobody will want to take it.
  4. Crap. Forgot he was up last year for a cup of coffee.
  5. Chief gets new tribe? (I think I just broke the politically incorrect meter there.)
  6. Paul Ladue gets his first career point as a goal in his second NHL game. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=129954
  7. Can we return St. Cloud?
  8. The battle will be won by attrition. That is the weaponry of those that take up the fight.
  9. Offensive line.
  10. A first shot at the team with the "ND" logo and the Fighting ----- nickname? http://freebeacon.com/culture/espn-host-notre-dames-fighting-irish-mascot-offensive-needs-change/
  11. The MSU Athletic (and general) Administration is the problem. The must've gone to the Penn State School of Handing Sexual Predators. I'm not sure how the MSU Hockey team would be impacted unless their coaching staff had direct knowledge of impropriety (sexual or otherwise) within the department and did nothing. That said, if they did know Nassar was abusing his patients (the most vile thing a physician can do, "do no harm" ring any bells?) they should be punished as criminal accessories aiding and abetting. Yes, I said criminal. < bleep > the NCAA. They are a non-judicial, extra-judicial body. They have no real power. They grandstand and make noise. They aren't the law. They have no subpoena power; they have no power to criminalize and/or incarcerate anyone. If people at MSU broke the law let them face the law. Frankly, the law should investigate what the NCAA knew about the matter and when they knew it. (See prior statements above about aiding and abetting.)
  12. OK. That wasn't a good hit.
  13. Take it up with the FCC. They control licensing for AM/FM radio. Or are they in on this mass cabal that you purport as well.
  14. Doug? Doug? Is that you Wooger?
  15. And Alaska payments got smaller this year; and Alaska makes payments to citizens because the oil is coming from public lands (where much of ND oil is coming from privates); and, don't forget Alaska's state budget is a mess (they were talking cutting UA/UAA athletics not that long ago).
  16. So ... uh ... um ... is this what happened when Thunder the Bleacher Creature mated with the San Diego Chicken? No wonder TtBC went into hiding ...
  17. Yup. They are finally starting to realize they are the only game in town in Bismarck/Mandan. "From the University of Mary studios, you are listening to 550 AM, KFYR, Bismarck, ... " <-- Nice little top of the hour, every hour, promo they've bought on the best coverage AM station in the state.
  18. " ... you plick."
  19. So do we send them this and Thunder the Bleacher Creature?
  20. Talk is cheap; it takes money to buy whiskey. U of Jamestown ain't got that kinda whiskey.
  21. I'm far more interested in just getting in at this point. Until I saw the last four outcomes I would not have believed Gardner being out would have that large of an impact. And then toss in no Smith and no Jones and no Bast on Saturday. I'm impressed they got the tie. All that said, back to my key point: just getting in. Jim Dahl's "how many wins to finish at X in PWR" was just updated. Seems UND must essentially go "500" in the last eight to say PWR14 or higher. Actually, I'd rather see them go 5-3 and assure no lower than PWR12 at season's end. Why? College hockey is pretty "flat" (even) this year; a couple surprise tourney-winner-autobids won't surprise me this year.
  22. The only way you'll see Med or Law in Fargo is U of Jamestown (non-NDUS). That said, there's the teensey-weensie problem of ... accreditation for them. The existing Med and Law schools like their closed party and aren't big on letting new players in. And if you believe NDSU fans want DI hockey ... their football-centric fans would riot.
  23. Anyone have video of the hit that had Smith sitting on Saturday?
  24. A man with a one track mind often has derailed thoughts.
