Grand Forks should be looking at Fargo's layout and trying to not become 0.5 miles wide and 17 miles long.

EWU v. NDSU will be determined by who sets the tempo. If, somehow (as in 10% chance of happening), EWU gets their track-meet tempo going they could simply race past NDSU. NDSU isn't used to playing from behind and surely not having to pass, a lot, playing catch-up. Possible? Yes. However ... Much more likely is that NDSU plays a game that keeps the EWU defense on the field and wears them out. Meanwhile the EWU offense is watching from the sidelines and not establishing any rhythm. Massey says EWU has a 1 in 6 chance (16%). I'd agree with that with most of that chance being tempo (see above) and the rest being NDSU having a rare, unexpected off day.

I've said since the late 1980s that the Merrifield overpass* needs ramps. From there it's less than a mile to Columbia Road and less than two to Washington Street. It's also open up another way to access the industrial park west of I-29. The other thing I still say GF needs is an underpass under I-29 at 17th Ave S. *For those not sure, that's the overpass at about mile marker 135 on I-29. It's right there by AgDepot and those other buildings.

I've always wondered why people do that. I was always told if you want to go into a medical field go undergrad to a school with a medical school. You don't have to go to med school there, but they better prepare you for the med school process.

Nick Foles taking Philly by Storm
The Sicatoka replied to SIOUXFAN97's topic in Non-collegiate sports
I got in trouble when Wentz was drafted when I questioned Philly's O-line and noted that Wentz really hadn't been hit hard in college, in FCS, because of NDSU's O-Line; I dared muse about durability at the professional level at that time because all we had to go on for durability was a wrist injury and very few violent collisions. Two season ending injuries later, am I allowed to ask now? -

Augie announces they are examining the move to DI

I guess I finally know what the abbreviation "SL" means. No, not Summit League, but Sanford Largess. -
So is there a QB option out there for this class?
-
It pains me to say this, but you are right. This is the correct view and attitude. < leaving to shower >

Not saying, just pointing out we already have a NDHSCA Class AAA First Team All-State QB on the roster ... at WR. Why wasn't Pifer given a look at QB? The (admittedly) little I saw of him at South was pretty good.

No coach will succeed in Philly until the raft of rickets they've had in net is resolved.

Semester break is here. There are no more 'freshmen' excuses.

Cherry (or at least a good maple with a cherry/mahogany stain). Next question.

To each their own, but to me this far exceeds any of the following.

No, I'm sorry but no; you are incorrect. KSU just proved you incorrect. And I believe WSU and EWU do the same.

Did someone say something about coach swirl before a key game? Why'd the words "Motzko" and "Sioux Falls regional" and "Gopher job" and "SCSU bounced by USAFA" just jump to mind? https://www.sctimes.com/story/sports/college/hockey/husky-hockey/2018/03/20/motzko-declines-comment-gophers-job-talks-lucias-legacy-working-him/443661002/ Oh ... that's why. https://www.sctimes.com/story/sports/college/hockey/husky-hockey/2018/03/27/scsus-motzko-new-gophers-mens-hockey-head-coach/463097002/ Wasn't part of that story that Motzko interviewed with Gopher brass in Sioux Falls? Yeesh ... All that said, given the choice, "no coach swirl" is preferred before any big game. I don't care who you are.

Heck, even ET and other space aliens knew it too!

Please explain this leap. Are you saying by merely breathing the word "football" it starts the conversation for the WAC and they get to remind western FCS teams they have the magic wand, the golden touch, as a former FBS conference to give the (required) invitation for a team to move FCS --> FBS?

I come into this thread continually hoping for a big, mean, ugly, likes-to-walk-on-you, hog report. (The ugly is negotiable.) Where's my offensive line that teams fear.
-
Back to one of my favorite arguments ... Yes, NDSU has had quite a run a QB. There's no argument there. But I'm going to say their offensive line play has been equally, if not more so, as important and good through that period of time. Good OL play comes from three factors: offensive scheme (using what you've got to the best of its ability), coaching, and strength and conditioning.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Being the house contrarian, I tend to look at KRACH. Yes, PWR is how they seed, but KRACH gives me a more objective feel than PWR or RPI. KRACH has UND at 10 right now. When I see a team that can split road at UMD and just miss a home sweep of DU that seems about right ... if they play the way they need to play. https://collegehockeyranked.com/rankings/krach/
