Sleeping on this notion ... Would that be all bad? The Canadian junior/major junior system works. Minor league baseball works. The NFL and NBA get free minor league systems, and much of it publicly subsidized. Make educational institutions focused first on educating.

I'm torn. Clearly the student-athlete's image has value or else why would it be used in advertising for sporting events? But this screams to me, as some speculate, as a way to get additional (under the table, but now above the table) dollars to athletes directly from boosters. Put another way: How many Alabama FB starters will be hocking cars in car ads on Tuscaloosa TV in coming days?

That’s what I said: If UST tried this and the Summit had stayed mute UST had no chance. With the Summit behind UST it’s better than coin-flip. I say that and not more because the NCAA has history of arbitrary and capricious decisions.
-
If the Summit stayed mute: 0.0%. With the Summit's statement, better than coin-flip.

Name sadly not on the list? This one.

That's too big of a change. It'd change their whole target audience and recruiting footprint. I suspect the Arizonas want something from the PAC12 and this is their way of getting some attention.

Unless you are a football-revenue-positive- P5, or have a massive athletics endowment fund.

Weber (Massey #7) has Sac State (Massey #4) this week. That should be a game. I'd say UND caught a good week for a bye and to heal up some dings.
-
Two of the six were relieved of their prior presidencies and another took a no confidence vote while serving as a provost.
-
Yes, UND has a bad road loss. But go here: https://www.masseyratings.com/cf/fcs/ratings Click on 'SOS' to sort by strength of schedule. UND has played the 13th toughest schedule and is 5-3.

Armacost is an engineer; so are three others based on present position. And a hard science (biology). Interesting. PS - Try to find why the one was relieved as president at Wyoming. Not much out there. A bit concerning I'd say.

Yah-mon.

Blasphemy to follow; be warned: Is it time to rethink the 3-4 scheme? It was put in place to stop an offensive scheme no longer in wide use. And it seems to lend to DL being hurt because there's more opportunity to double-team them (5x3 vs 5x4). Discuss.

I'm gonna say it: In light of what's going on outside US Bank Stadium tonight, it's a good day to not have the old nickname. We'd have been drug in and thrown in the barrel too. https://www.google.com/search?q=redskin+protest+minneapolis+thursday+night+football&rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS819US819&oq=redskin+protest+minneapolis+thursday+night+football&aqs=chrome..69i57.11871j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Hutch 1, Oxbow 0. Blasphemy! Heathen. Well, my sumps have started running again ... Winter keeps the riff-raff out.

Canisius College @ UND -- Friday/Saturday
The Sicatoka replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
Of snow? No. Of snow on Oct 11 and 12 in a Midwest wind blender? ... Buffalo on average gets it's first inch of snow on November 18. -
I'll stand by this: There was no better RA gig to have than an east wing in Walsh. Those were private suites. You had a bathroom to yourself and no suitemates (because the other part of the suite had been separated from the suite and was part of the common laundry area and kitchenette).

Someone be sure to send Canisius the weather forecast. https://www.weather.gov/fgf/ -
Congrats. But if we're comparing resume and experiences ... I was the most tenured RA on campus the day I left Housing. I toured every hall on campus during my years (including East Hall). I lived in Walsh, and then Hancock. I'll take a suite over "cattle showers" every time. Hancock had just been converted from "cattle showers" to multiple shared single baths when I was there. Better, but I still missed my private RA suites from Walsh.

Call it "the Northern Iowa rule": Only thing better than a quality bye is a quality loss.
