  1. I watched again on ESPNU last night. He wasn't crying as he left the bench behind Motzko as Motzko went to shake Pecknold's hand. It was after the handshake line that they showed Faber twice. Why wouldn't you go down the tunnel to the room after handshakes? PS - Someone asked about ESPN showing it: ESPN is a moth, that was a flame, they couldn't stop themselves.
  2. At most this rumble is what we speculate here: Fenton goes NCHC -> Summit. Why not save costs and move NCHC admin under Summit umbrella. He knows both ledgers now. Should that happen Summit hockey schools (UND, DU, UNO, StT) and NCHC schools like UMD, SCSU, CC are easy choices as affiliates. Notice I stopped at seven and WMU and Miami are mysteriously missing from my list. You'll have a (Sun) Devil of a time who the target eighth would be as an affiliate. Think: snow birds.
  3. Faber could have stayed on the bench to emote. He wasn’t consoling his goalie, who was stoic. He wasn’t checking on his teammate 24 who went down hard into the boards and official. You know, Captain things. ESPN2 cut to him twice because he made good television.
  4. But it should be. Give the winners their ice. Stay on the bench until the handshake line.
  5. My problem with Faber bawling is: why was he on the ice. He wasn’t out in OT, 2 and 4 were. He came out to cry for the cameras when it’s QU’s time for the spotlight. Have our guys shown emotion after a loss? Yes, from the bench not the ice. Get your composure, come out, congratulate, skate off.
  6. I couldn't figure out how the Q LW got so open. The MN RD 4 stepped up and let the pass get past him forcing 2 to come across and chase the Q center. The MN center 24 realized too late the defensive responsibility change for him and ... game. 4 letting that pass past him was the beginning of the end.
  7. I thought Q was dead at 2-0. I was wrong. Oh well.
  8. Schlossman will be insufferable. But I had Q in my bracket.
  9. Faber crying not a good look for him.
  10. I worry that even if Q tied it they’ll have spent too much energy.
  11. The Q old men playing with freshman nerves showing. Next goal in this one might be telling.
  12. I haven't stolen the ears off your chocolate Easter bunny ... yet.
  13. Two recruiting classes is how. And it can go the other way that fast again.
  14. Culture must include accountability. The same mistakes happening again means no was held accountable the first time.
  15. Coming soon to a rink near you ... Luke Bast stars as "Johnny Tychonic 2.0: This time it's Bulldog!" Rated PG for lewd gestures and crowd chants.
  16. Are the existing mechanisms at full functionality. Do they need reorganization. Are we reaching everyone we could be. (The GOBC syndrome.) And who's responsible, because if everyone is no one is. Who.
  17. It's Masun Fleece. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/577113/masun-fleece
  18. Ralph built The Ralph seeing B1G Hockey was coming. He intended it as a toe-hold but too many see it as an endpoint. The Ralph is not enough, it's a start. We're to finish the journey.
  19. There is a difference between a B1G (and Ivy) grad after college. Look at the banking/equity careers. For comparison, Mike Prpich is farming and raising a family in SK. https://twitter.com/Pirps19
  20. And the venerable, 168 year old, Freddy Couples may make the cut. (-1 overall through 2 today).
  21. At first, but as a fan base we've become dependent on that generosity. The fan base needs to realize that safety blanket will be gone one day and get back to self-sufficiency.
  22. So you tried reverse psychology and you're afraid you'll get beat by double-reverse psychology. I'm dizzy.
  23. Now we're doomed.
