  1. UND provided 130 athletic scholarships last year. 80 Native students got diversity waivers. There were 400 diversity waivers. By your own words, Natives Americans got about 20% of the diversity waivers, right? And there were three times the number of diversity waivers than athletic scholarships. How do those numbers look in comparisons? You are a student at a major American university. You don't exactly seem to be living on your knees as you'd like to claim.
  2. Graham, you have your point of view. It seems to not align to the majority of Native Americans.
  3. Mr. Enno is Chippewa, and thus enrolled at Turtle Mountain. I believe his spouse is Sioux. What is your response to Greg Holy Bull, a Lakota Sioux man and supporter of the name? I assume you mean "wasicu" in a pure adjective, unbiased, unbigoted way. I'm sure you intend it in the same manner in which you refer to yourself as "Kracker." And howling won't change anything.
  4. Wasn't part of the rationale for putting the soccer field where it is to keep the area immediately north of the Medical School relatively undeveloped in case the Medical School expanded? If that was the goal, they've accomplished it.
  5. Whew! At least we know a state legislator won't have to ask for the Can-Am record book to be re-written.
  6. True, but this, says he'd have a lot of competition for time at WR also.
  7. Adam got around that by calling boarding:
  8. With leadership and vision like that and Don "ad lib" Adam what more can you ask for? Let me be blunt: Screw "supplementary discipline". UAA should have had a major power play against Wisconsin. UND should have had a major power play against Denver. How can I say that? "Supplementary discipline" tells me so. (Both minor calls were later upgraded to majors.) Call the right penalty the first time and you don't need "supplementary discipline".
  9. Anyone have the tape? I'm pretty sure they swapped out the D as well as all three forwards.
  10. Backup? I thought the term was "shill", or "pimp".
  11. I think they all should wear 28 pound boat anchors attached to their helmets for the Frozen Four.
  12. Someone's not in on the inside joke.
  13. Good guests are politely respectful of their hosts.
  14. Oooooh, ouch. Good one. PCM tell you to say that?
  15. Would you prefer "Evil Gophers"? "Gehenna Gophers"?
  16. It'd still be a neutral site CCHA rink, so why not go near the geographic middle: Qwest Center in Omaha?
  17. Yup. Last Frozen Four was April 2001. Mr. Engelstad was at the arena opening in October 2001.
  18. Now, knowing this: Let's fill in the blanks: Conference (each line is two games): @ SCSU: @ Minnesota: @ UMD: @ DU: @ MTU: @ CC: Feb 3, 4 @ UAA: Jan 6, 7 SCSU: Minnesota: UMD: DU MTU: Wisconsin: MSU-Mankato: Non-Conference (each line is one game): Northeastern: Oct 14 Northeastern: Oct 15 TBD: TBD: TBD: TBD: TBD: TBD:
  19. Some background on schedules I provided in the past:
  20. 8. Play smart. 9. Have fun. 10. Skate! Skate! Ska-a-a-ate!
  21. Seems like just yesterday when - Jake Brandt - Brian Canady - Nick Fuher - Quinn Fylling - Colby Genoway - Matt Jones - James Massen - Rory McMahon - Andy Schneider were a freshman class of Sioux hockey players. It's been a ride boys. Thanks for playing for us, the fans. And don't worry about us now, go make yourselves proud.
  22. I can't speak for PCM, but I wondered aloud about Greene keeping the captaincy and if he shouldn't be suspended until he took care of the problem he made for himself in Warroad (a culminating event).
