  1. Come on PCM, quit clouding things with fact and reality.
  2. A verbal is worth all the paper it's put on. This means UND has a signed national letter of intent (or else they couldn't put out the press release). I'll take the signature over a verbal, thank you.
  3. DW: Rusti, Rousa, Ricka, Rasti-whatsyourname, tell me about playing on a line with Pike Mrpi-cha. Interviewee: Vaht?
  4. How about "The Myth Busters!": Toews, Kozek, and Watkins. Why "The Myth Busters!"? Because how will Doug Woog be able to comprehend three Canadians, each in their teens, playing for UND? Of course we have to put together a line of first names that Woog is sure foul up: Rastislav Spirko Rylan Kaip, .... and Mike Prpich.
  5. Come on, seriously, no you don't.
  6. Clearly more than 15000. It's their hoops home too.
  7. Why would all of those big-time places/venues bid? Don't they know "nobody cares about college hockey". San Antonio is a nice town. They have some pubs on the Riverwalk. Tampa would be fun. You could "off day" in Orlando. Washington DC wouldn't be a bad "off day" either.
  8. Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... Don't you know ... (scr-r-r-ratch) ... it's true .....
  9. I thought the Geneva Convention precluded such heinous acts toward people confined like that.
  10. It's called a homonym and you almost got it.
  11. Yeah, right, like you'd have one of those. Go back to cranking your phonograph player.
  12. Let's see 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 .... that's two in the last five. The lad has some math issues. With skills like that are we sure he shouldn't have said " .... to three NCAA title games in my six years here ..."? But the truth comes out here:
  13. Tough to release a number that wasn't set at the time. If Hak has signed a contract you should be able to request the information from UND because all state employee salaries are public record. However, doing so could also be perceived as, how'd jimdahl say it, "unseemly" if you're not a member of the media.
  14. Hello, my name is The Sicatoka and I'm here to munch some feathers at "The Crow Bar" with some of the rest of you. When Mr. Hakstol was hired, due to the process by which he was hired, I made the comment that he would now face the "shortest leash ever". During the season I was pretty sure that leash was tightening. Now, however, Mr. Hakstol has added more than a few links into that chain. Pass the ketchup.
  15. They are scheduling all home games next year for The Betty is what I heard second-hand yesterday. That's forced?
  16. You forgot "tuition waivers", which both parties give.
  17. What emotion? Hak took a team to the last game. That's fact. And Hak could probably use that to lobby for a raise right now. (If you saw emotion in that, could it be that you are somewhat interested in money today, for whatever reasons, as evidenced by this?) About salaries, Eaves at Wisconsin makes about $138,000 and is looking for more according to this.
  18. Me Kupchella? Uh, no. However, I'd like the facts and the actuals before I crucify people. That way I'm sure I got the right ones. The link I have isn't good any more, but I copied the Dakota Student article where it said, in reference to the transfer of REA to ....
  19. That's some serious shizzle-fo-fah-mah-jizzle!
  20. I don't know what he makes (the speculation at hiring was $80-90k, look in the old threads here from last summer), but he just took a team to the National Championship game in his first year.
  21. There are 18 sports at UND. How many make money? Maybe three? I can easily see how money could be an issue in that environment. What do the books say for this year? Where's this coming from today? Something had to have triggered this. Tell us what. Purpur applied and then pulled back. Why? I was told Stanford showed him the money to keep him.
  22. Nice rant, but can you help the rest of us out with some factual information to back up the posit you start with? Thanks. PS - You've heard they're looking to hire a new AD, right?
