NCAA serious about I-A attendance requirements?
The Sicatoka replied to jimdahl's topic in NCAA News
I know it'd strain a finger but a scroll up to Post #4 would find: " ... one-third of the highest regular established ticket price as established prior to the season ... " -
Dear Gary (and willing accomplices of all sort), Although your timing of this spectacle was near perfect (last day to drop and the week before the hearing for preliminary injunction), your public, education-self-immolation will have a total meaning of zero in the matter of "State of ND (et al) v. NCAA."

Interesting.

NCAA serious about I-A attendance requirements?
The Sicatoka replied to jimdahl's topic in NCAA News
Western Kentucky just announced a move to DI-A. Go here and look at their average attendance in the last 10 years. (scroll, link in link under "LT Smith Stadium") Don't get fooled by "total", or "highest single", look at "average". How's that going to work? -
Thursday is "game day" in State of ND (et al) v. NCAA. Has the NCAA filed anything with the court yet?

Possible Congressional Hearings at Illinois
The Sicatoka replied to Chief Illiniwek Supporter's topic in UND Nickname
Earl would need verbal permission from Jack Abramoff first, as would Kent. And Byron, he'd need written. -
Birds of a feather....

I'll give ya a definite possibility of a for-sure maybe, or not.

For one side of the issue AISS can do "one-stop shopping" for you by pointing you to their favorite website. Where you'll struggle is finding out about things like Mr. Lapointe's behavior here. That's not as interesting to the media (for whatever reason). My point of view on digging for truth comes from a quote by Dr. Kupchella to US College Hockey Online:

Forum mentions UND and USD as possible Gateway expansion targets

What are you talking about? She's offering to send unsolicited, informational mail to someone's house. "Capitol One" does it to me four days a week. Is that harassment?

Forum mentions UND and USD as possible Gateway expansion targets
The Sicatoka replied to MplsBison's topic in NCAA News
I have to say "hold that thought just for a minute". What are the long-term goals and strategies of the various conferences and how do they align with the long-term goals of the schools? -
We can't look at that. It would prove that an American Indian can do wrong and that breaks the DS's template. And it would prove what someone said to me long ago: Some of the biggest bigots I've met are the anti-bigot bigots. You see, the Dakota Student digging into the story at all would be having to admit to DS readers that the DS story about a Native American grad student leaving UND because of his "high-minded principles" proves that the Dakota Student is a shill for the name-change advocates and allows itself to be shamelessly used by them. PS - How does the "Dakota Student" keep that name. The staff isn't all "Dakota", but mainly caucasian. Heal thy self. PPS - " ... caught red-handed fabricating ... racist material ... " Why hasn't he been charged with a hate crime?

McFeely continues to rip away. The judge's comments on the statements by some of the NDSU coaches are priceless.
-
That would require a journalist, even a student one, to do real work covering a story. (Only "sudo"-reporters work. )

The Sicatoka replied to MplsBison's topic in NCAA News
The Big Sky folks could be facing a geographic dilemma soon: - the western wing of the BSC is making "departure" noises for west coast based conferences - the Mid-Con and Gateway are creeping west - they could soon be marginalized into a mountainous wedge of the country for a footprint Where will the BSC find schools even further in the future if they don't do something with the footprint now? I don't claim to know how this will all turn out. But I do know we live in interesting times. -
Brad Miller WCHA Offensive Player of the Week
The Sicatoka replied to hockeydog's topic in Men's Hockey
Miller winning it this week, eh, nothing special. I'm sure lots of guys from Georgia have won it. Hey, Kozek, Watkins, take note from Brad. Your turns are next. Get on it. -
This just in: George Ellis 1 NDSU 0 The story. McFeely chimes in also. PS - I'm sure NDSU lost only because Judge Marquart attends Sioux Boosters luncheons. It has to be more of "The Vast Fighting Sioux Conspiracy."
-
Think you missed part the first time.

Mentioning "on retainer", .... Only 8 days until the North Dakota Attorney General and the NCAA's attorneys meet in Northeast Central District Court.

I said I could see it; I didn't say I liked the approach.

To me the site-in-question is defined on four sides: - Columbia Road to the west - the tracks to the south - University Ave (not 2nd Ave N) on the north - 25th Street (extended through old REA to the tracks) on the east What's in there now? Old REA, Memorial, a grass FB practice field, (soon to be) a tower to a parking lot(?) from the ramp west of Columbia, and parking. I can only guess what'll be in there in 10-15 years, but I'm almost positive "Step 1" in any project will be making everything there today (save the new ramp tower ) "flat".
