UND is getting a DOME! UND is getting a DOME! :D http://und.edu/features/april-fools-people.cfm Posted: APRIL 1 <-- think about it ...

The ND SBoHE is *not* made up of people that have ever run public education institutions. Thusly, they follow the lead and "asks" of the university presidents more often than not (e.g. the were badly burned by giving all the "asks" of former NDSU president Chapman). It would not surprise me if the SBoHE is acting upon the "ask" of Dr. Kelley. I can only only opine it, I can't prove it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.

NCAA to drop settlement and sanctions if UND wins title

You have to know it's April Fool's Day when you read ... 1) They don't share 2) They don't have "profits"; they're a non-profit doncha-know 3) Student-athletes should be happy getting an education while they, the NCAA, have a $12,000,000,000.00 television contract -
The Clock is ticking on NCAA Pres Mark Emmert
The Sicatoka replied to star2city's topic in UND Nickname
The NCAA's biggest fears right now would be: - to be declared "for profit" - to face a real anti-trust action - to be declared a "public actor" Those would all come Federally, not from Bismarck. -
Then again, maybe Indiana needs to win a conference FB game ... for a couple seasons.

Mainly sandbagging preparations. And all the NDSU student-athletes are available to help.

If so, I hope he got it in writing. For that Big Ten logo (and Big Ten Network annual check) I'd trade "Fighting Sioux" faster than a Frattin snap-shot off the draw. There. I said it.

Knowing roughly Shaft's age and making some assumptions about his son's age (and about someone being willing to "argue" on Facebook with a daddy said so "trump card") I fully expect that his "invited into" should more accurately say something more like "play teams in" (refering to the moniker policies at UMinn, UWisc, and UIowa).

"Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious." -- Simone

April 22. But does that work for everyone involved? http://plainsdaily.com/entry/und_ncaa_meeting_set_for_april_22nd/

Here's to hoping the UM-Duluth team is focused on North Dakota just like their fans are. Signed, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Hey Cardinal, Federal Communications Commission Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau Consumer Complaints 445 12th Street, SW Washington, D.C. 20554 or http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm I sure hope the new kinder gentler FCC doesn't decide you folks had a "wardrobe malfunction" today.

Fighting Sioux Club members - I need your 2 tickets!
The Sicatoka replied to SiouxFTW's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
It may be the 2010 manual, but I expect not much has changed: I don't see the other 12 (of the 16 in post season) getting tickets to the Frozen Four in that. All I see are the semifinalists (the Frozen Four) getting rights to 600 tickets per institution. Dude, you can't give out what you don't have. UND only got 600 tickets from the NCAA. -
OK, so the University of Southern California isn't really "regional" (unless you consider Oxford and India Institute of Technology "not regional"), but here's something that can happen at USC in March, but not at UND. Brrrrr .... cold. Be careful! Link is probably PG-13. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1371313/USC-officials-appalled-fratboy-caught-having-sex-girl-roof-hundreds.html Favorite quote from the article: A member, ... indeed. And that's the news from Southern Cal ... {insert "Trojans" joke here}

Pointing that out is setting yourself up to hear otherwise, "ira".

Yes, the ticket allotment to the schools are only to the four participating schools. And in the past, not many folks could go to Columbus, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Denver (for example). In this case, St. Paul, the demands on Fighting Sioux Club would be mammoth. I've always gotten tickets from FSC in the past. This year, I honestly expected I would not because many high level FSC members that didn't request in the past would this year given the relatively short drive.

The lyrics go: Hey, those hats are so ugly Hey, yes they are real ugly Hey! Hey! The ugly hats Oh please send them away ... Hey, it's called maize not yellow Hey, they don't call it yellow Hey, Hey, they call it maize So they don't have yellow pants.* *And you know how you get yellow pants: You pee down your leg.

I hope to hear it just as many times as I hope to hear the Minnesota "spelling bee" Rouser at a hockey game: Six. Just six; specifically, to start and end each period. No more.

This NDSU event will be April 8 so most of us will be focused on an NCAA championship weekend in St. Paul and won't be able to attend, ... not that there's anything wrong with that </Seinfeld reference>. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/314130/

I'm not saying it is right or wrong. I'm saying it's the reality of the situation. Bills have to be paid.

Why do FCS teams play DIIs? To get the second and third team guys some game reps in a lower-pressure situation.
