Wreckincrew Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Pats answer 7 - 7 w/5:01 left in 1st Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Pats answer 7 - 7 w/5:01 left in 1st Thats not like the Regina Pats to give up 7. Quote
UMDDogz Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Charging SECTION 6. a. A player shall not skate more than two steps or jump into or charge an opponent. Charging is the action of a player, who as a result of distance traveled, checks an opponent violently in any manner from the front or side. Exactly, Oshie had a full head of steam but he was no longer taking strides nor did he leave his feet hence Clean Hit. If he came with speed from across the rink, it is charging...regardless if he is moving his feet at the time of the hit. It's a judgement call as to whether the hit was excessively violent so as to warrant a charge. Quote

seeboys Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Good period for the sioux! thought they controlled the play for most of the period. Got to keep the pressure on and take them out of this game early in the second! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 it'll come We've been saying that all year! Quote

It's a judgement call as to whether the hit was excessively violent so as to warrant a charge. It was a violent hit which by itself would be a penalty for international play but that was a good clean North American style hit. Send it to Don Cherry and it might make one of his videos. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Good start for the Sioux. Need to come out in the 2nd frame and add a few more goals! Quote
keikla Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Announcers just said that the WCHA released an official apology/admission of error regarding Wisco's disallowed goal last night...what a shock Quote
